Week 6 concluded with a win for the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow’s team won 17-7 against the Giants. The win was crucial for the team as they were coming off multiple losses since Week 1 (except the Panthers’ game). But this win also came with a question mark on Burrow’s health status, for which he recently provided a three-word response.
After this win, the Bengals possess 2-4 standings, and it clearly tells the importance of winning. Nevertheless, as the team won, an incident which is grabbing more attention is Joe Burrow’s concussion evaluation thing. In the Sunday’s game, as per reporter Kelsey Conway on X, Burrow admitted that “he got the wind knocked out of him when he got hit.” Hence, he was told that “he needed to be evaluated for a concussion.”
But later when the reporters asked how he was doing, the quarterback replied with three words – “I felt fine.” Is he? Well, what spectators saw in the game was, Joe Burrow went into the medical tent after a big hit by Brian Burns on third down. However, after some check ups, he returned to the field, without getting evaluated for concussion. So, probably he might not be that injured! Nevertheless, for Burrow, currently the team’s win is the utmost priority. And he thinks this time, the defense played that role effectively.

According to Joe Burrow, his team’s defense played a major role for this win, as he, via Sunday Night Football on NBC on X, quoted: Burrow “shouts out his defense for stepping up big against the Giants.” In a post game presser, the QB said, “….it was good to get a win, great to see our defense step up like that. They’ve taken some heat the last couple of weeks, but they played awesome today.”
However, when you ask Burrow what he thinks about tonight’s game, he would say, “it was an ugly win.” Well, probably it seems he meant to say from the offensive side. This was also because Burrow completed the 19-of-28 for 208 yards, but with no passing touchdown. Yet, the QB recorded a history in his career.
Joe Burrow skipped a potential history to make another one?
Week 6 wasn’t just a regular game; it was crucial for Cincinnati. Why? Because if they had lost, their record would have fallen to 1-5, something the team hasn’t experienced since 1999. It would have been an even bigger setback for Joe Burrow. However, with the win, the team improved to 2-4, giving Burrow a chance to reflect on the offense, admitting that they need to step up.

Despite this, the quarterback made history in his four-season NFL career. In this game, he ran “longer than 23 yards in his first 57 NFL games, took off on a third-and-18, and just kept running because there were no Giants around him.” The result? A spectacular 47-yard touchdown by Joe Burrow.
Now, the Bengals are looking to improve 3-4 in week 7!
