What the heck is going on with the game calling in the Kansas City Chiefs-Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup? People already dislike when Joe Buck and Troy Aikman call a game, but it’s like the court of public opinion doesn’t matter to the NFL analysts. The Chiefs had possession of the ball with just a few seconds left in the halftime, and Buck dropped a bomb.
Remember the AFC Divisional playoff game between the Bills and Chiefs in 2022? Joe Buck referred to that moment in fleeting moments of the first half and said, “The Bills are saying watch out for the Chiefs with 13 seconds left.” His remark fired up the fans watching the game and they aren’t holding back on their words.

The Chiefs secured a tough overtime win in the AFC divisional game between the rivals. Buffalo scored 7 points in the first three quarters and added another 15 points in the game’s last quarter. On the other hand, the Chiefs scored 7 points each in the first two quarters, in addition to 9 more in the third quarter. Mahomes dropped another 13 points in the last quarter.
The game was tied with 36 points and went to overtime. But that’s where Josh Allen made a mistake on the coin toss. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen played the type of game that no quarterback has ever played before; neither in the postseason nor in the regular one. Both QBs had at least 300 yards and completed at least 70% of their passes in the game.
In the last moments of the fourth quarter, the Chiefs were trailing 36-33 and Harrison Butker neutralized the game with 13 seconds left on the clock. Buffalo took a timeout with just 13 seconds remaining on the clock. The overtime started at 1 and 10 at KC 25 and Mahomes pushed the ball down to 1 and 8 at Buffalo’s 8-yard line and completed the game with an 8-yard TD pass to Travis Kelce. The Chiefs won the divisional playoff game with 42-36 on the board.

Fans grill Joe Buck for taking unprovoked shots at the Buffalo Bills
A viewer was perplexed with what they heard from Joe Buck and didn’t understand why he would provoke the Buffalo Bills when they wrote, “Why did Joe Buck take a shot at the Bills there unprovoked,” on X. Another fan just wanted to “Shut up Joe buck.” This sentiment remains common amongst those who watched the Chiefs-Bucs game.

“W-f Joe buck? A—hole,” wrote another X user. Then came the fan, who pointed out how the commentator was taking shots at the Chiefs’ long-time rivals. “The Bills are saying watch out for the Chiefs with 13 seconds left,” the fan wrote. Buck’s comments left an unsavory taste in someone’s mouth and the fans were quick to retort, saying, “Joe Buck can eat sh-t for that unnecessary 13 seconds reference.”
The Joe Buck and Troy Aikman slander continues, and will probably be the case for the entire season. As long as the commentators make unprovoked remarks, people will be furious at them. That’s nothing surprising. With all said, check out how these women changed the football landscape one step at a time.
