JJ Watt with family.
Just a quick look through the Instagram account of JJ Watt will reveal that he is a complete family man. The former DE, who hung his cleats after the 2022 season, decided to work on the other side of the field. He and his wife, Kealia Ohai Watt, bought a stake in the Burnley F.C. in 2023. Since then, the ex-NFL DE has been doing different things in life. Yet, the family remains important, and he never misses any moment to make some memories.
On February 15, 2025, he shared a few photos with his wife and son on Instagram and Twitter with the caption, “5 Years. Same Day. Same Spot. Somehow even happier now, which I didn’t know was possible. Happy Anniversary @KealiaOhai ! ❤️💙” On the same day in 2020, the couple got married at The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort in the Bahamas. On Saturday, they made poses similar to their wedding day.

His wife also shared some photos on her Instagram with the caption, “5 years later and we are back in the exact spot we got married, this time with our babies🤍 Happy Anniversary @jjwatt I love you more than ever.” But this time was a little different. They also had their son, Koa James Watt, born in 2022.
A soccer player herself, Kealia, was born on January 31, 1992, in Draper, Utah. She first met JJ Watt through her brother-in-law and Texans teammate, Brian Cushing, They started dating in 2016 but kept it private before announcing their engagement in May 2019. The couple announced on February 3, 2025, that they were expecting their second child. The fans are eagerly waiting.
While the former DE is happily enjoying his life after the game, some want him to return. It would be crazy if that happened.

JJ Watt might return to the NFL!
Burnley FC Goalkeeper James Trafford made a deal with the NFL star in early January. Trafford wanted him to come back from his retirement and join the Bengals. But the DE replied, “You don’t allow a goal for the rest of the season and it’s a deal.” He also captioned the post, “This is starting to become a bit of a concern.”

There are concerns if he was seriously considering a return to the sports. And why not? Watt had a solid career with 114.5 sacks and 586 tackles in his 11-year-long career. Even in his last season with the Cardinals, he had a production of 12.5 sacks and 39 tackles. He took the Houston Texans in the playoffs six times. And repeated the same with Arizona in the 2021 season. Watt teaming with 2024 NFL sacks leader Trey Hendrickson at defensive end would be a dream come true. But that might remain just a dream.

JJ Watt hinted at love for the Bengals and added, “I mean, I do love Graeter’s and Montgomery Inn BBQ.” Trafford has taken his task seriously. Since December 26, 2024, they have maintained a clean sheet, with a goalless streak of 11 games.
They only have 4 games to play in the 2024-2025 EFL Championship season till March 11, 2025. With 5 Pro Bowls and 2 seasons as the NFL sacks leader (2012 and 2015), he would be a major addition to the Bengals’ Super Bowl hopes. But will that happen? If it does, it would be epic!
