The stage is set and all there is left to do is wait for fierce competition. One of those competitions is the Harbaugh brothers’ rivalry that goes back to 2013, when the Ravens won against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. Now that Jim Harbaugh is back on the scene, the wait for him to go against his brother John Harbaugh is painstaking.
The good news is that the NFL 2024 season schedule is out, and we now know when these brothers will be facing each other on the field. Jim Harbaugh went to coach the Michigan Wolverines in 2015 and after taking the college team to a CFP Championship game and winning, he’s back in the league to coach the LA Chargers.

Both coaches hold a phenomenal record in the league. However, the younger brother Jim has had a chip on his shoulder since the loss in Super Bowl XLVII. Jim’s close 34-31 loss might drive him to make the Chargers offense unstoppable, knowing that he’d have to participate in a Harbaugh Bowl rematch at some point.
In the past, the brothers faced each other as the Ravens and 49ers HCs on a couple of occasions. The notable ones date back to November 2011. Their second match was the unforgettable Harbaugh Bowl, and their last skirmish was in November 2015. John Harbaugh and his Ravens defeated Jim and his 49ers in every meeting.

Who’s better, John or Jim Harbaugh?
It will take a lot for the younger brother to change the tide because John Harbaugh has more coaching experience and has won more since his team in the NFL.
John Harbaugh was the Eagles special team’s coordinator for 9 seasons and spent one year as their DB coach. But his head coaching career took flight with the Ravens when he started in 2008. In his 17 seasons with the Ravens, the elder Harbaugh brother has 171 wins and 108 losses.

Coming back to Jim Harbaugh, he had a fairly short stint as an NFL coach and boasts a 44-19-1 record with the San Francisco 49ers. However, Harbaugh’s 695 winning percentage ranks fifth all-time among the NFL coaches.
There is a 10-year difference between the start of their coaching careers, hence John Harbaugh has the edge over his younger brother and beats them in every encounter he has with Jim. Will this time be any different? Let us know below.
