There can be no happier person these days than the Los Angeles Chargers fan! Jim Harbaugh‘s team entered into the postseason with an 11-6 record again after the 2022 season’s playoffs. As the franchise is in the wild-card round, the pressure is piling up. And why not? They lost it in the 2022-23 season against the Minnesota Vikings. Before the battle, the Chargers coach pointed out something interesting.

When talking to the media, Jim Harbaugh pointed out a very important thing. The HC was having a conversation with the reporters and he didn’t flinch to call them biased, highlighting Derius Davis‘ touchdown reception. Actually, his exact words were fiery. He said, “If that had been Justin Jefferson, they’d probably replay that on Sportscenter the rest of the day.” This reflects his excitement for the new stage.

If you don’t remember, Justin Jefferson, the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver, had a fabulous reception against the Detroit Lions. The Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold made a 31-yard throw from a pocket as Justin Jefferson did a perfect landing with a perfect catch. After this reception, the media proactively posted Jefferson’s reception videos and showed a love for it. But, as Jim Harbough said, the media showed bias toward his wide receiver’s incredible catch.

But what was Derius Davis’ reception head coach talking about? Was it worth watching?

Derius Davis’ Out-of-the-world reception

The game was between Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots. Yeah, the same game where people were shouting ‘fire Mayo‘ to Patriots’ players, which culminated in the Chargers’ victory by 40-7. When the game was in the first quarter, without any score on the board, San Darnold threw an insanely perfect throw toward the end zone.

What’s your perspective on:

Is the media biased against the Chargers, or is Justin Jefferson just that much more impressive?

Derius Davis was not under the ball but trying to get there while avoiding Patriots safety Kyle Dugger. But within a second, Derius got the backward-looking catch after which he slid for about 10 feet. What a perfect time to take a picture! But it has not gone viral like the Vikings’ WR. Apart from the official NFL YouTube channel, only content creators shared and posted a video. Obviously, Jim Harbaugh wanted a decent level of recognition from reporters other than the NFL.

Well, the disappointment and dissatisfaction should be kept aside as the wild card round is not so far. And you don’t have to worry too much if you observe the stats. Talking about the statistical history, the Chargers have played 9 wild card games so far. And guess what? They have won 6 out of 3 games. Cool! Though the history is inclined toward Jim Harbaugh’s team, the matchup with the Texans is gonna be exciting! Let’s see what happens!
