The Chargers improved this Week 5-3 by winning another game, this time against the Browns. As obvious the coach, Jim Harbaugh is extremely happy with the team. But he didn’t miss mentioning a special tribute this time, comparing his quarterback to the top class QBs of the league.
After the Chargers won 27-10, during a post-game game press conference, head coach Jim Harbaugh mentioned, via journalist Alex Insdorf, “Justin Herbert as one of the few quarterbacks in NFL history to finish a half of football with a perfect passer rating. (Had 158.3 after the first half).”
According to Insdorf, Harbaugh “specifically mentions his [Herbert] effort today with Joe Burrow and Tom Brady accomplishing the same feat.” Burrow did this two years ago, where he, in the first half, recorded “19/21, 325 passing yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, and a perfect 158.3 passer rating,” as per Ari Meirov. On the other hand, Brady achieved this feat thrice during his NFL tenure.

Now, as the star quarterback Justin Herbert has recently achieved it in the Browns’ game, he also made sure to throw for 250 yards during that half. With this, he also registered his name as the second quarterback of the Bolts to do so. Earlier, just Phillip Rivers from the Chargers did this thrice.
In the Colts’ game, Justin Herbert completed 18 of 27 attempts for 282 yards and two touchdowns. And this record is surely giving him a star badge to his NFL career. But let’s not forget that not only Herbert, this season, even Lamar Jackson did incredible!

Before Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson also earned this title!
In the last four games, Justin Herbert recorded, via Chase Daniel, “QBR: 92.4, 97.1, 111.3, 125.8; Yards: 237, 349, 279, 282; 5 TD passes & 0 INT.” Now in his eighth game of the regular season in the league, Herbert made a perfect passer rating. As he is now being compared to Joe Burrow and Tom Brady in this matter, let’s not forget that Lamar Jackson too recently achieved the same feat. And guess what? It’s the fourth time he did this in his NFL career.

Lamar Jackson was on fire when playing against the Broncos. He “completed 16 of 19 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns, all without a single interception.” This performance earned him a rare perfect passer rating of 158.3, something only the best quarterbacks can achieve. Remarkably, this is the fourth time in his career Jackson has reached a perfect passer rating, putting him in a league of his own. Earlier he did it twice in 2019 and once in 2013.
