Julian Edelman was always the backbone of the New England Patriots. It is generally known how the man improved his techniques and became the most valuable member of his team. Bill Belichick, the Patriots’ former coach, long regarded Edelman as their important offensive weapon. Even though the rest of the team became aware of this strategy, it always worked. Julian Edelman recently spoke on the aforementioned subject, revealing he was getting multiple offers to leave the Patriots.

The WR discussed this on the YouTube channel Games with Names. He disclosed how his team’s offense, which was only on his shoulder, increased his market value. The San Francisco 49ers offered the player a huge contract with major money during his peak years. The WR stated, “9ers offered me more money than I signed for.” It was even joked on the show during this conversation that the high cost of living in San Francisco might have been the reason for an exorbitant sum of money. It’s true, the lifestyle is expensive.

At the time, he was so essential to the Patriots that GM Bill Belichick and HC Jim Harbaugh fought over him. Edelman elected to stay with the Patriots. Because the WR was not ready to leave, he was even asked to name any price he wanted. The number 11 further exclaimed, “Me and Harbaugh were talking numbers. Harbaugh was fighting with the GM like there like it’s publicly known, remember that? With the 9ers. And he was over here asking how much you want. You know. We will get it done”
