Is Aaron Rodgers' star power fading as the Jets continue their losing streak?

Sports aren’t for the faint-hearted, particularly the world’s biggest and toughest football league. The star-studded lineups often get shaken. If the team doesn’t perform, no one is spared. It doesn’t matter how big of a superstar you are. We’re talking about Aaron Rodgers. After 8 weeks, the team has lost 6 and won only 2. They have lost 5 games in a row. Analysts are demanding a change.

While talking about the Jets debacle, Super Bowl winner Chris Canty first asked all the coaches to be fired. He later added on ESPN’s unsportsmanlike show, “When it comes to what’s next for the Jets. I know a guy that actually wants the job. And that guy is Rex Ryan.” Another change in head coach. The season would get over adjusting to these frequent changes.

After week 5, they fired Robert Saleh and upgraded the defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich as their head coach. But the move isn’t working. Even after Ulbrich took over, they have lost 3 games. Gang Green wants them to hire a new coach. That is head coach Rex Ryan, who has a $20 million net worth. He has been their coach from 2009 to 2014.

The question now is, can Ryan revive them and give confidence to Aaron Rodgers? His record doesn’t inspire much. In 6 seasons with the New York Jets as their head coach, he only led them to 46 wins and 50 losses. When Rex Ryan served as the Buffalo Bills head coach, he had a mixed record with 15 wins and 16 losses.

Nothing is working for the Jets. Even bringing in the veteran quarterback hasn’t given them the benefits they would have liked.

Can Aaron Rodgers come out of the ‘darkness‘?

Gang Green’s week 8 loss against the Patriots was nothing less than a shocker. The Pats decided to go with experience in Jacoby Brissett, who raked in 15 of 24 passes with 132 yards. The Jets quarterback had a relatively better performance with 17 of 28 passes with 233 yards and one touchdown. But the O-line failed to score the points when it mattered.

During the post-game conference, he was visibly shaken. When the question came up if this was a moment of darkness for the team, his reply was thunderous, “I’ve been in the darkness. You’ve got to go in there, make peace with it.” Things are getting complicated at the franchise. And Aaron Rodgers is at the center of the storm.

The 5-game losing streak has shocked each member of the Gang Green. They brought in a much-hyped wide receiver Davante Adams to the locker room. They have changed the coaching staff. But the losses are piling up. The season is midway now. Can they gather up their forces and qualify for the playoffs? Chances are slim, but anything can happen in the NFL.
