Things have been downhill for the New York Jets almost since the start of this season. They have found themselves in hot water multiple times over the past four months. And more than them, it’s the veteran player Aaron Rodgers who has been in the headlines this season, but for all the negative reasons. The team had high hopes for the four-time MVP, that Rodgers failed to deliver. This didn’t sit well with owner Woody Johnson, and now he’s unsure about the QB’s future with the team. This has been all over the news for a while now.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson is pretty upset about it and shared his thoughts on the Up & Adams show. When asked where his head goes thinking about Aaron Rodgers getting waived by the Jets, he said, It’s still been a blessing and it’s still been something that I’ll value for the rest of my life. So, you know, either way, I’m, I’m fulfilled besides the fact we haven’t won. But I just want Aaron to do what was best for him.” The Jets have already given up on their Super Bowl hopes. With only three wins so far, what else could they have done?

For Rodgers, his time with the Jets has been an absolute nightmare. From last year’s injuries to a bunch of accusations this year. He’s been called out for allegedly pushing management to bring in his buddies, Davante Adams and Nathaniel Hackett. And most recently, he’s been accused of hiding his injuries to avoid getting benched. This gives Woody Johnson a good reason to start looking for a new QB next season.

Amid all the drama, Aaron Rodgers shared his plans about football and the Jets on The Pat McAfee Show.

Recently, Aaron Rodgers made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. When asked about his future plans, the 40-year-old said he’d like to stick with the Jets next season. But whether Woody Johnson is on the same page as Rodgers, we’ll only find out next season, or maybe sooner, who knows. He also mentioned the age factor, saying that once you hit your 50s, you’re pretty much nearing the end of your career. The QB feels if he plays well and stays healthy for the rest of the year, maybe he’ll go for another season.

The decision is now up to the Jets’ owners. There are reports saying they might be looking for a new QB. There is no word yet on whether they’ll stick with Rodgers or not.
