Aaron Rodgers’ off-field stuff’s stirring up quite a storm—and it’s all thanks to Jets new punter Thomas Morstead’s sly Instagram post.
On a regular day at practice, Morstead snapped a photo with Rodgers—holding a mystery bottle labeled “Morstead secret stuff,” along with a cryptic caption, “Y’all think this is game?” Fans were quick to wonder: was this just a playful nod or an actual nod to A-Rod’s unique wellness habits?

We’re all aware of the veteran QB’s unconventional wellness practices. Rodgers has been pretty candid about his journey with Ayahuasca—a psychoactive Amazonian brew often used in spiritual rituals, which he credits for sparking a personal transformation.
Details about the Super Bowl XLV champ’s experience with ayahuasca were revealed in Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers—an unauthorized biography by Ian O’Connor. Rodgers’ friend, Jordan Russell, recounted how he introduced the 40-year-old to ayahuasca. Russell had first tried it himself in 2019 at the Temple of the Way of Light—a renowned shamanic healing center in Peru.
In a vision during his own ayahuasca journey, Russell claimed he “saw into who Aaron is” beyond his gridiron persona. Seeing Rodgers as “trapped inside…[the] ego of a famous football player,” Russell felt the QB was a warrior at heart—one with “an absolutely gigantic heart” and a deep desire to “love and be loved.”
Intrigued by his friend’s perspective, the ten-time Pro Bowler traveled to Peru in 2020 with then-girlfriend Danica Patrick. Although his trip was cut short by pandemic restrictions, Rodgers later described the experience as life-changing. He credited Ayahuasca for helping him unlock his potential—even calling it a catalyst for his 2020 MVP season with Green Bay (48 TD passes and a 121.5 passer rating).
Aaron Rodgers’ unique wellness practices may leave some skeptics questioning, but we can’t deny his influence on and off-field. Yet, as former LB Emmanuel Acho accused Rodgers of “robbing the Jets of their future” (following his Achilles injury), some wonder if A-Rod’s mind-expanding methods might’ve actually given him the confidence to keep aiming high.

Emmanuel Acho pulled no punches when he opened up about Rodgers’ impact on the Jets’ rocky season. The ex-Eagles LB blasted the veteran QB, accusing him of robbing New York of their future. For the former champ, A-Rod ain’t just falling short, he’s stalling the development of young QBs who could lead the team down the line.
Despite all efforts to make A-Rod feel at home—bringing in former Packers teammates and even firing HC Robert Saleh—the Jets are still struggling, sitting at a horrendous 3-6. Acho’s point is clear: Rodgers isn’t delivering, and so, his presence should be questioned.
“If Aaron Rodgers loses today, moves to two and seven, loses six games straight,” Acho said on The Facility, “why would you want him next year?” He’s calling for accountability, reminding fans of Green Bay’s Jordan Love, who’s stepped up since the veteran QB’s departure.

For Acho, Rodgers’ impact seems to be costing the Jets their present and future. And without a plan to secure the next generation, that price might just be TOO high.
