Is Robert Saleh lying about Aaron Rodgers’ absence? The Jets’ QB has always considered Ayahuasca as the best treatment of his life. Even Pat McAfee confirmed that A-Rod went to an Ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica for his Achilles recovery process. And it seems his Ayahuasca journey isn’t over. At least that’s what the First Things First hosts: Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, Kevin Wildes, and Danny Parkins believe.

Aaron Rodgers remained absent from the mandatory minicamps last week. When asked about it, coach Robert Saleh said that the QB had already informed him, and he was out for an unavoidable event. However, per rumors, Rodgers might have gone for another Ayahuasca retreat.

I mean, it was great when he was a man in town and sitting courtside with Sauce Gardner and all that, but every starting quarterback in the league was at mandatory minicamp except for him.

Wright agreed to this, saying “Robert Salah being obviously dishonest there,” despite the fact that June camp will not affect September’s outcome. For analysts, missing the practices in June isn’t quite notable, but they suggest Jets’ dynamics and discipline might get affected.

Broussard, on the other hand, directly criticized coach Saleh for handling the situation poorly. He pointed out, “He could have definitely said this without killing Rogers, because I get his only chance of keeping a job and having a decent season is to play.” According to Broussard, instead of lying, Saleh could have said that Rodgers had been great since joining the team, the teammates loved him, and although they wanted him at the training camp, they respected his decision and would move past him.

So where was Aaron Rodgers?

FS1 host Nick Wright bluntly stated that Rodgers’ absence was essentially because “he skipped work to do drugs,” referencing reports that Rodgers might have been attending an ayahuasca event. Although coach Robert Saleh called the absence “unexcused,” analysts like Colin Cowherd suggested that the QB was on overseas vacation.

Moreover, reporter Albert Breer hinted that the location was typical for Rodgers, implying it could be related to his previous use of ayahuasca. The quarterback has previously used this substance and even went on a retreat to decide his NFL future before joining the Jets. So, per speculations the QB is once again on a retreat.

Nevertheless, fans and reporters will have to wait until July 23, when veterans report to training camp, to see if Rodgers addresses his absence.
