C.J. Mosley has been a cornerstone for the Jets‘ defense for a long time. But his 2024 season hit a serious bump after he got that neck injury during pregame warmups against the Patriots on October 27. He couldn’t even move his neck at first, and he was low-key worried his career might be over. But luckily, doctors came through with some good news, saying surgery isn’t required. So, he still has hope for a comeback.

In late 2024, Mosley gave an update on his recovery, saying things were moving forward but still on the slow grind. “Monday was my first time putting on a helmet,” he said. “I don’t want to rush it… Until I actually hit somebody and feel the impact on my neck, I can’t say I’m 100%, but it’s definitely heading in the right direction.” Mosley’s positive attitude couldn’t prevent him from landing on injured reserve. Officially ended his season with just four games. Even with all the noise around him. He made it crystal clear that ‘retirement is not even a thought right now‘. So, we might see the man in 2025. His main focus is getting his neck right and getting back on the field next season.

Despite the injury having people worried, C.J. Mosley’s all in on making a comeback. Retirement? Nah, not yet. The 32-year-old linebacker is always been a straight-up monster, making the Pro Bowl in 2022 and putting up crazy tackle numbers—averaging around 160 tackles a season. That’s just how he rolls.

That being said, his future with the Jets is still up in the air. ESPN’s Rich Cimini recently reported that the Jets plan to release Mosley this offseason to ease cap issues. If that happens, the Jets could save money with a post-June 1 release, though it would come with some dead money.

C.J. Mosley’s rollercoaster run with the Jets, from his $85 million deal in 2019 to battling injuries, has kept fans on their toes. While the Jets figure out their next move with Mosley, the chatter has shifted to another NFL headline. Enter Aaron Rodgers and his 500th touchdown pass. A milestone that’s sparked both shade and speculation, with NFL legends like Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan weighing in.

Legacy or just a milestone?

What’s your perspective on:

Is C.J. Mosley's comeback more crucial for the Jets than Aaron Rodgers' 500th touchdown?

Have an interesting take?

Aaron Rodgers‘ 500th touchdown pass was a major milestone, but not everyone’s buying into the hype. Terry Bradshaw, never one to hold back, tossed a little shade during a FOX NFL Sunday segment, quipping, “Why do we always talk about records? 499, I threw 212 touchdown passes.” Bradshaw wasn’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for Rodgers’ achievement, making it clear that he doesn’t see this as some earth-shattering moment.

Strahan predicted that Rodgers might leave the Jets after hitting the 500-touchdown mark, taking the team’s offensive into the picture. “This is Aaron Rodgers’ last game as a Jet,” Strahan said, pointing out that the Jets’ offense has been anything but smooth sailing. Strahan’s not shy about sharing his thoughts. And he seems convinced that the 4-12 season and Rodgers’ struggles in New York might signal the end of this chapter.

He finished the season with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 3,897 passing yards. That’s better than his last year at the Packers. But result-wise, it was much poorer as he has a 5-12 win-loss record while he finished 2022 with a 9-8 record.

Sure, Rodgers’ 500th pass is huge, but whether he’s sticking around is a whole vibe on its own. Both Strahan and Bradshaw’s views show how different people are vibing with his legacy.
