The Jets are 4-12 after that schooling from the Bills. It was over long before. They were only playing for pride. But what’s in such a pride when your QB is looking beyond next week… Imagine a future HOFer like Aaron Rodgers is talking about “physical and mental rest” after December, and not the postseason run!

When the reporters asked A-Rod about his future, he seemed more interested in week 18 and the break afterward than anything else. Nonetheless, at least he’s still sharp enough to crack a joke about it. See, the thing is, we might side with Rodgers on this one because his future shouldn’t be the concern right now when he is making history, not in a way anyone dreams of.

Gregory Rousseau sacked him for the 566th time in his career, nudging him past Tom Brady for the dubious honor of being the most-sacked quarterback since the stat became official in 1982. Talk about a record you didn’t want. When informed he now holds the sack record, Rodgers quipped, “Yeah, I got Tom in that.” Well, credit where it’s due: at least he knows TB12 was a whole different beast.

But that’s not it! If Rodgers plays through week 18, he might even surpass Fran Tarkenton’s all-time high of 570 sacks (including pre-1963 numbers). Should we be rooting for that?

If you watched the game, you’d remember Rousseau’s hit because that earned him the ‘unwanted’ title. But at the same time, that was not the only one. The hits didn’t stop there—literally. On the next play, Rodgers threw a pick to the Bills CB Christian Benford. Then, in a bizarre twist, he got flagged for a late hit after shoving Benford out of bounds.

If you’re thinking, ‘Wait, what?’ you’re not alone. Rodgers, the cerebral tactician, decided to channel his inner linebacker for reasons only he could explain. But you’ve got to wonder: Is this the ending he had in mind when he came to New York?

Aaron Rodgers’ guide to what not to do!

The Jets’ season keeps finding new ways to go south, and Sunday was no exception. A 40-14 blowout loss to the Bills? Yikes. That low even from New York’s perspective, and it’s safe to say this season isn’t what anyone envisioned when Aaron Rodgers joined the squad. From interceptions to sacks—and yes, even a late-hit penalty—this game was a rough one for the future Hall of Famer.

Picture this: Rodgers throws his second pick of the day to Bills corner Christian Benford. Frustration boiling over? Probably. What followed was an uncharacteristic shove on the sideline, earning Rodgers a late-hit penalty and gifting Buffalo an extra 15 yards. His explanation? “I don’t think I pushed him very hard. I was just chasing down the play.” Sure, Aaron, but this isn’t exactly the energy fans expected from a four-time MVP.

Cherry on the cake? Rodgers’ performance was far from inspiring. Completing 66.7% of his passes for just 112 yards and two picks, he eventually got benched for backup Tyrod Taylor. For a quarterback who’s built a career on big plays, this season has felt more like a highlight reel of what not to do.

But it wasn’t the case for just this one game. It seems like the Big Apple was just a little too big of a task for even A-Rod to handle. From Achilles tear in debut season to getting caught up in controversies after the return. You just have the perfect guide in front of you to what a QB must avoid!

With one game left against the Dolphins, Rodgers has a chance to end the season on a slightly better note. Will we see vintage A-Rod magic, or will the Jets stumble to the finish line? Either way, Jets fans are left wondering if brighter days are ahead… Or if it’s time to look toward the draft.
