All the highest paid players in the league aren’t doing well right now. Tua Tagovailoa, Brandon Aiyuk, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Trevor Lawrence, and the list goes on and on. You get the idea. Right now, we’re interested in Dak Prescott and Jerry Jones’ Cowboys. What happened to Prescott was very ill-timed, but the Cowboys must think about their future.
To that end, the Cowboys legend, Michael Irvin sparked the rumors that it’s “100%” possible for the Dallas team to employ Deion Sanders as their next head coach. At this point, the juice is not worth the squeeze with Mike McCarthy. But Sanders arriving in Dallas comes with a catch. The Jones family might have to make room for his sons too.
What will happen to Dak Prescott?

Michael Irvin took to Colin Cowherd’s SHOW, The Herd, and put out the wild idea of sidelining Dak Prescott for Shedeur Sanders. Would it be worth replacing an experienced QB with a rookie? Who will pay the dead cap that Prescott might leave on the Cowboys if they pull a Russell Wilson move on Dak?
Cowherd sparked a radical idea that “Dak will have a market,” and that somebody might be willing to take Jerry Jones on a lucrative offer. He exemplified the Denver Broncos, who took a historic $85 million in dead cap and traded Russell Wilson to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That trade is working out for both parties involved. Sean Payton is happy with Bo Nix and Mike Tomlin is having a ball with Russell Wilson.
Cowherd further iterated how a team needs a good coach who takes a liking in his quarterback. Deion Sanders and his son are the people who exactly fit that description. It may even be good for Dak because he has a no-trade clause in his $240 million contract extension, which means that the Americas team cannot trade him without his consent.
The team has no other option but to find a “suitor” that Dak Prescott prefers. But all this is just a hypothesis and Prescott might just stay with the Cowboys. There’s no telling how Jerry Jones’ mysterious mind works. But check out Cowherd’s statement.

Is it time for the Cowboys to gamble on Shedeur Sanders over Dak Prescott's experience?

“You got to Dak before the draft pick and say, ‘We’re going to take Shedeur. Where do you want to go and we’ll try to make it…. we’ll be good suitors. We’ll go find the suitors, you pick the team you want, we’ll try to get it there,’” Cowherd said . But the precondition to his move is that Dak doesn’t have to make it public, so the Cowboys still have an upper hand over their competitors.
While Cowherd’s comments slowly start to grow on you, Michael Irvin is already sure that Deion Sanders, his sons and the Dallas Cowboys are a match made in heaven.
The Cowboys legend banks his bucks on Jerry Jones hiring Deion Sanders
After a quick rant about how Michael Irvin fears for his life while flying in an airplane, the conversation switched to the Sanders family. Colin Cowherd once again poses the former Cowboys receiver with a very important question: does Irvin think Deion Sanders will follow his son and take the coaching job if he was drafted by Dallas. That’s really a no brainer of a question at this point.

Irvin was “100%” sure of that possibility. Irvin got this info from “good sources,” whom he trust enough. While Irvin didn’t divulge his sources, he tried backing his claims in a recent instalment of his own podcast. Per Irvin, Coach Prime is very cautious of where his sons will end up and plays a role of mentor in their lives.
“A father like Deion can never turn down being with his son and with his son at quarterback, he’s the coach. So, that’s why I tossed it out there because I know how much he loves being with his sons and I know how much they love being together,” Irvin pointed out on his podcast.

Well, that kind of makes sense. Sanders coached Jackson State where his sons played along with him. The trio moved to Colorado and started making waves. There’s a pretty good chance that they will do it again, together. If Shedeur and Shilo Sanders end up in the NFL, Coach Prime will follow them, reportedly.
Jerry Jones is very old school when it comes to doing business. He has a relationship with Sanders that goes back to over 3 decades. He hired him back then and he might not have a problem doing it again. This package deal might just be a blessing in disguise. Another thing to consider her is that Mike McCarthy’s contract with the Cowboys expires after this season. At least the billionaire won’t have to think about paying McCarthy to do a sub-par job at his expense.
