This year, everything about the Cowboys is making headlines. The latest one is their home stadium, the AT&T Stadium. While there were talks about its curtains after the week 10 game against the Eagles, the roof collapse has become the hot topic in week 11. The owner, Jerry Jones, has finally opened up.
Jones talked to the reporters after the game and claimed that it happened due to the heavy winds. He said, “The piece apparently was loose from the heavy winds that were out here all day.” He later claimed that they would check the structure for any safety risks. But what exactly happened?

Before the game against the Texans, the stadium officials tried to open a retractable roof but as they tried to open up, many pieces of roof started falling. It includes small pieces of paper, wood, and some big steel sheets as well. But there was a saving grace. No person got hurt, as it happened hours before the game began.
Jerry Jones claimed that they have a practice of checking such things when no person is in attendance. That’s what helped them in the week 11 game. But they have to be careful. The roof has not been opened for 2 years, and when it was tried today, the metal pieces collapsed. He later added that they do such things to keep checking if everything is fine with the structure.
