The Cowboys’ season is shaping up to be rougher than anyone expected. Sitting at 3-4 after that tough loss to the 49ers, they’re far from where they’d hoped to be. But football took a back seat to a recent development around the Cowboys owner. Jerry Jones and his family narrowly escaped a life-threatening accident before the team’s Sunday Night Football game against the 49ers.
On 105.3 The Fan, Jones described the harrowing moment when a rising barrier in San Francisco “busted all the frame” of their vehicle. Jones himself was in a separate car with his son Stephen, but his daughter, Charlotte Jones, his son, Jerry Jones Jr., and his grandson, Shy Anderson Jr., were in the car that struck a rising barricade right outside of Levi’s Stadium.
They were immediately checked out by the Cowboys’ medical staff and were given the go-ahead to attend the game. However, Jerry Jones detailed the injuries suffered by his family members. He said, “It busted all of the frame. Everything. Its tremendous force, like a small explosion had gone off under there. Tremendous. Those were the things that created the injuries. My daughter wasn’t feeling as good as she hoped she would feel yesterday and today. My son, who was concussed, is feeling better.”

Wow! Jerry Jones tells @1053thefan the rising barrier in San Francisco “busted all the frame” of the vehicle his family was riding in. “tremendous force like a small explosion had gone off under there. Tremendous,” He said his daughter Charlotte “wasn’t feeling as good as she…

The car that was hit carrying Charlotte, Jerry Jones Jr., and Shy was totaled. The situation must have been scary for Jones who likely saw the car carrying his family hit by the rising barricade.
Despite the harrowing incident, it’s good to hear that they could make it to the stands. After all, you don’t want to miss a chance to see the Cowboys in action, right? However, it wasn’t how they might have had it planned. It was a tough loss to concede. Now, it’s good to hear that Jerry Jones and his family were ‘OK’. But fans want the America’s Team to be okay as well because, let’s be honest, they don’t seem to be right now.

Jerry Jones’ all-in team is nowhere to be found
What’s your perspective on:
Is the Cowboys' season cursed, or is it just a string of bad luck for Jerry Jones?
Have an interesting take?
Ah, Jerry Jones and his infamous “all-in” quotes. It’s like a classic football meme at this point, right? “You narrow it down to where all we are talking about is right now and the next playoff season and that’s it for everybody. We’re all in,” he said. But here we are, and it feels like they’re all talk with no show. Forget Super Bowl dreams; if the Cowboys keep this up, they might need a new game plan just to snag a playoff spot. The clock is ticking, and Jerry’s got some serious thinking to do.
This season has felt like a rerun of a bad sitcom. Remember Week 2 when the Cowboys got steamrolled by the Saints, 44-19? Ouch! Just a week later, they faced the Ravens, who had them down 28-6 before Dallas tried to stage a comeback. Sounds familiar, right? They outscored Baltimore 19-0 in the final quarter but still fell short. Now, with tougher teams on the horizon, Mike McCarthy’s squad needs to step up.

What’s concerning is how the Cowboys’ victories have come against teams struggling themselves. Sure, they snagged wins over the Browns, Giants, and Steelers, but these weren’t exactly statement games—barring the Pittsburgh game, that was more like them. But since then? Yeah, let’s not talk about that. If they don’t showcase the grit needed for postseason success, it could spell trouble. And let’s not even talk about their next four opponents boasting a combined record of 22-9. It’s going from bad to worse, at the moment.
With pressure mounting on McCarthy, the question looms: is this the end of his run with the Cowboys? Although he’s had his moments, his inability to secure wins against top-tier teams has people wondering if it’s time for a change. Jerry Jones has some thinking to do. The sooner it’s done, the better, as Cowboys Nation is losing patience.
