“I don’t think so at all, to stay away from a position because there can be exceptions. There can be exceptions at any position.” Jerry Jones is handling the draft season from a $250 million yacht. However, his statements made it clear that it’s not necessary they will address a particular position at their Pick no. 12. It might be a quarterback, just like many analysts speculated. Or else, it can be any other position, including running back. But whenever it’s RB, Ohio State will surely be in consideration for the owner and his front office.
We all know that the Dallas Cowboys are once again facing changes at the running back position—for the third straight season. First, they moved on from Ezekiel Elliott before the 2023 season, clearing the way for Tony Pollard to take over. However, they never secured him with a long-term deal. This March, they agreed to terms with running back Javonte Williams, but that still doesn’t solve their problems. Jerry Jones’s team still needs a solid RB, and who could be better than Quinshon Judkins?
According to staff writer Brandon Loree on X, “Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins had his official 30 visit with the #Cowboys, meeting with Jerry Jones. There was a big team contingent at the Ohio State Pro Day as well.” Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer was also in attendance on March 26, watching closely. Reports suggest his focus was on Judkins—and it’s easy to see why.

The 6-foot-tall Quinshon Judkins is electric—quick, shifty, and nearly impossible to pin down. His vision is sharp, and his footwork is deadly. He doesn’t just evade defenders; he makes them miss entirely, leaving them in the dust. He’s strong enough to break tackles yet balanced enough to cut on a dime.
When it comes to his college career, it has been nothing short of dominant. In three years at Ole Miss and Ohio State, he racked up 3,785 rushing yards, 45 rushing touchdowns, 442 receiving yards, and five receiving scores. Every season, he surpassed 1,200 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns. Even in 2024, while splitting carries, he still managed 1,060 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.
With stats like these, it’s easy to see why scouts are high on him—and why Jerry Jones and the Cowboys’ coaching staff are keeping a close eye on him.
The Cowboys have already included Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders after releasing Rico Dowdle. If Jerry Jones picks Judkins, he may not start right away. But if the time is given to him, he surely will bring the spotlight. Maybe somewhat equal to the spotlight that Micah Parsons’s contract is getting now.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Jerry Jones's old-school approach to Parsons's contract a bold move or a big mistake?

Jerry Jones and Micah Parsons are having some heat before contract?
Well, it sounds something like that only! Jerry Jones made headlines at the NFL league meetings, and as always, it wasn’t just about the money. The Cowboys owner confirmed he’s ready to make Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history – a deal worth over $40 million per year. That’s the good news. But the bad news? Well, Jones wants to negotiate directly with Parsons and completely wants to ignore his agent, David Mulugheta.
In fact, Jerry Jones didn’t just overlook him—he claimed he didn’t even know his name. That’s a bold stance, considering David Mulugheta is one of the most respected agents in the game. Micah Parsons wasn’t having it. He fired back on social media, making one thing crystal clear: no deal happens without Mulugheta. The situation feels almost old-school—like something out of a past era when owners had complete control over everything.

However, in today’s NFL, star players rely on top agents for a reason. Parsons isn’t going to be an exception. Jerry Jones, however, doesn’t seem too concerned. He expressed, “I’ve got the checkbook. So, all the fiddling around doesn’t make any difference.” But with huge contracts for players like Maxx Crosby, Myles Garrett, and Ja’Marr Chase setting new benchmarks, Parsons’s price tag is only rising.
