The 2024 season for the Dallas Cowboys didn’t end as per their and owner Jerry Jones’s expectations. With just 7 wins, the team was eliminated from their selection to the playoff rounds. However, now that the season has ended for them, it’s good to focus on the upcoming year—something that Jerry Jones is already doing. That’s the reason, he has promoted their OC Brian Schottenheimer for the HC role. In addition, to fill up the offensive coordinator and the running backs coach positions, the franchise has selected Klayton Adams and Derrick Foster, respectively. However, as the team seems well-prepared for 2025, Jones suddenly remembers an upcoming barrier.
Jerry Jones attended Thursday’s NFL Honors from New Orleans. He appeared to be happy, donning his signature suit for the event. However, just at the moment, a curious reporter asked him about Jayden Daniels and the threat to Dallas’s locker room from the Washington Commanders. To which, the 82-year-old revealed that he is a fan of Jayden Daniels. But, at the risk of stating the obvious, he isn’t a fan of the idea of playing him and the Commanders twice.
Yes! To those who are unaware, the Cowboys are likely to face Washington twice in 2025. The Commanders’ official website stated that Washington will play Dallas twice—one at their home, and another will be an away game. Hence, addressing the same, Jones stated, “I get sick when I think about the Cowboys got to play him twice a year… I like the idea of competing as we look forward to the years ahead against the Redskins.” That’s Jones for you.

However, besides calling the Commanders – Redskins, Jerry Jones also caught the attention by praising rookie Jayden Daniels. He said, “We played him pretty good in Washington. We played him pretty well for a half when we got him down in Dallas. He’s a great talent. I’m glad to have him in the National Football League. And frankly, really, I like the idea of competing as well forward to years ahead against the (Commanders). I’m a big fan of Washington. It’s a great football town. Anything that would help make that more substantive in Washington, I’m all for it.” He can say so. In the 2024 season, the Cowboys defeated the Commanders in week 12.
Hence, on behalf of his locker room challenge, Jones tried to imply that even if things didn’t go perfectly, his team would still manage to get something out of the situation. After all, they are revamping their offensive team, except for their “questionable” QB. But will all this work?
Micah Parsons doesn’t think so. Hence, he has an idea that could help the Cowboys in facing tough challenges against teams like the Commanders, who are good at offense.

Is Myles Garrett the missing piece for the Cowboys, or just another pipe dream for Jerry Jones?

Micah Parsons is trying to help Jerry Jones with a trade?
Myles Garrett shook the NFL word with a trade request this week. After spending his successful first eight seasons with the Browns, Garrett expressed, “As a kid dreaming of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl – and that goal fuels me today more than ever….While I’ve loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won’t allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl. With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns.”

Since his request, many players and teams have been wishing to seize him. And Micah Parsons is no stranger to it. During his appearance at the Up & Adams show, host Kay Adams asked the linebacker what’s the one move he wants owner Jerry Jones to make this offseason. To which, Parsons quickly quipped, “Yo, go get us Myles Garrett.” But why? Parsons had an answer to this question too – “What are we talking about here? Yeah, let’s go get Myles Garrett. …I’m a defensive person. I don’t really believe in the offense because I’ve seen the best offenses shut down in the biggest moments.”

Well, what could be a better example than the Commanders’s NFC game of this offense shutting down in crucial moments? The team which was looking strong lacked in their defensive lineup. That’s the reason they weren’t able to take the possession more often, leading the Eagles to crush them. Hence, Parsons wants Jerry Jones to select Garrett, ditching the DE’s wish to join Washington.
