Who runs the show here? Jerry Jones. That’s it. That’s the only truth Cowboys fans ever need to know. The man knows how to steal the spotlight, whether it’s game day or a routine press conference. Hand him a mic, and you’re guaranteed a headline. Monday was no different. What should’ve been a moment for Brian Schottenheimer to shine as the team’s new head coach quickly turned into the Jerry Jones Show. He’s not just the owner; he’s the star, the storyteller, and, occasionally, the instigator.
Last week, Jerry Jones dropped the news that Brian Schottenheimer would be the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. And let’s just say, Cowboys fans were not thrilled. You could feel the disappointment all over social media. But then again, this isn’t the first time Cowboys fans have been left shaking their heads. It’s kind of become a usual thing for them. After the wildness of last week, it was time for something new. And, of course, Jerry made sure he delivered. So, when reporters asked him how he felt about the fan reaction, you just knew it was going to be a doozy. Drumrolls please, because Jerry’s response was straight-up gold: “There’s a very low percentage of this that is smiles and glory holes. Very low percentage.“
Add it to the Jerryisms bingo card

You can almost picture Michael Irvin, face scrunched up in disbelief, staring at his phone, reading that one. Jones always knows how to stir the pot and keep things interesting, even when the fans aren’t exactly on board. Jerry doesn’t just talk at these press events; he turns them into a performance. There’s always a curveball, a wild comment that keeps everyone talking.
And if you think that’s all? Nope, there’s more drama. The show has only just begun.

Jerry Jones pulled off a new show
What Brian Schottenheimer thought would be his moment, Jerry Jones stole. On Monday, Dallas was holding an introductory press conference for the new head coach, but before Schottenheimer could even process it, the whole thing turned into a Jerry Jones show. He’s never shy about making it all about him.
“If you don’t think I can operate out of my comfort zone, you’re so wrong it’s unbelievable. This is as big a risk as you can take. No head coaching experience,” said the Cowboys president. Now, we’re not exactly sure how Brian Schottenheimer, the new head coach, would feel about that. Brian, who was the team’s OC before, isn’t exactly being welcomed with open arms by Dallas fans.

But, of course, Mr. Jones has an answer. He’s all about stepping out of his comfort zone. “I’ve been around a lot of coaches. As a matter of fact, I wanted to be a coach. Except I wanted to live better than I thought coaches lived.” Jerry Jones did, skipped all the stress and hustle of coaching, and went straight for the top. And honestly, his constant presence at the forefront of every Cowboys move just shows how invested he is in the team and his dream.
