The Patriots found a new general to rebuild the dynasty. Jerod Mayo worked with his team during the off-season and everyone hoped there would be a great show. But shocker! After 7 games, the team is at a 1-6 win-loss record. Nothing has worked in their favor. They even replaced their quarterback Jacoby Brissett with Drake Maye, but hat ain’t working too. And the week 7 loss against the Jaguars made everyone wonder what the coach was thinking about the team’s future.
In the post-game conference, Mayo was asked several questions, mainly if he was considering a change in the coaching style. But the coach didn’t flicker from his views. During the off-season, he emphasized building personal relationships with other players and working hard. When he was asked if he wanted to change this, the coach denied it, meaning that the same routine would continue at the Pats.
“It would be easy if we were sitting here at six and one to continue to have that message but at 1 and six it’s I guess it’s a natural question from you uh should we change up our coaching style and right now I just think that we need to continue to work hard and continue to push the players uh to get the results on the field,” were Jerod Mayo’s exact words.

The 32-16 loss against the Jaguars has put them under harsh criticism. Many fans are questioning the roster. The coach also threw his players under the bus for not putting in the hard work. Mayo even claimed that the players have become ‘soft.’ There is one more reason, though.
In the first 5 games, the Pats went ahead with experience, using Jacoby Brissett as their signal caller. And they started the season with a win against the Bengals. But since then, everything went awry. In the week 6 game against the Texans, Drake Maye played as a starting quarterback. But even he couldn’t take them to a win.
