Can the Jets really bounce back from 2-4, or is this season already a lost cause?

When Robert Saleh admitted the Jets would still make it to the playoffs despite being fired—that was class. Fast forward to the first game without him, and the Gang lost to the Bills. Not even Aaron Rodgers could save ’em. Sure, the record now reads 2-4. But interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich chose to echo Saleh’s words.

Speaking during the presser after his team’s 23-20 loss, Ulbrich said: “We are by no means out of this thing.” New coach, same result though. Sure, there were flashes of something brewing with Gang Green, but moments don’t get you to the playoffs. Wins do.

So, what could’ve gone differently? The strategies were there, visible even. But, man, the execution just wasn’t. The Bills came out swinging, with Josh Allen carving up Ulbrich’s defense like it was a Sunday stroll.

The D-line faltered in crunch time and Greg Zuerlein missed two field goals. Throw in 11 penalties, and it’s easy to see why fans are muttering “Same Old Saleh Jets.” Ulbrich wasn’t thrilled either, admitting, “We need to find a way to get it done… We have to fix it and fix it fast.” Yeah, no kidding, chief!

The footballing gods threw in one late chance for a comeback as well. But when it’s not your day, it just won’t happen. Rodgers’ desperation pass turned into an interception. Game over.

Looping back to Saleh’s prediction. Yeah, we saw that the moments were there of what could have been a good night for Ulbrich and Co. However, ifs, buts, and maybes are the last thing you need to get the playoff ticket. Especially when you have failed to make it to the playoffs—since 2010. Yikes!

Have an interesting take?

That’s right; they’re tied for the longest playoff drought in the four major North American sports. Fans thought this would change with Aaron Rodgers coming to town, but here we are picking pieces in the regular season.

The recipe? For Gang Green’s hopes to come alive, they’ll need to fix those mistakes quickly. Ulbrich knows it. And Rodgers? He’ll need to channel some of that vintage AR12 magic.

Aaron Rodgers’ Hail Mary magic was not enough against Josh Allen’s Bills

It was a game that felt tailor-made for Aaron Rodgers to shush his critics. And, honestly, he kind of did—well, minus the winning part. Monday Night Football wasn’t just Jets vs. Bills; it was Rodgers vs. Allen. And while Josh Allen walked away with the W, Rodgers didn’t go down quietly.

At one point, the Bills were cruising into halftime with a 20-10 lead, thinking they had this one wrapped up. But then Rodgers did what Rodgers does. He launched a Hail Mary that had fans holding their breath. Allen Lazard, surrounded by three Bills defenders, came down with it. Boom! It shaved the lead down and made it look like the Jets might flip the script. But that was it.

However, a fun fact: that was Rodgers’ fourth career Hail Mary TD—no other QB in the league comes close. On top of that, Rodgers ended the night with 294 yards and two touchdowns, a season-high for him. But it wasn’t enough. One magical moment wasn’t able to take down Josh Allen, especially not on his turf.
