It’s a bye week for the New York Jets. And finally, they are shaking up some plans and schemes. After that disappointing loss against the Colts, everything seemed lost. It was heartbreaking. They couldn’t save 2 minutes and 41 seconds in the 4th quarter. Now, it’s time to restructure everything. HC Jeff Ulbrich is at the center of things there.
He made his intentions known at a press conference on November 18. After watching the tape of the O-line after the Colts game, he was disappointed. While talking about the revamp plans, he said, “We’re going to deep dive on ourselves.” That’s enough to tell everyone they might see an improvement in week 13. The coach has also given a 48-hour timeline to review the defensive line.
“Defensively, from the covered standpoint, just not clean football,” were his words while describing his defensive line. It all came down to that last drive. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson scored the winning touchdown with just 46 seconds remaining on the clock. And they won the game. After Jell Ulbrich’s assurance to the fans that he would watch the tape and make some changes, fans are feeling a bit easy. But they would have to do it quickly.

The Jets HC also pointed out the first half. They were behind by 13-0 before Breece Hall scored a touchdown, with 40 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter. It gave them breathing space, but in the end, their worries continued. It’s now or never.

After Jeff Ulbrich, Rodgers announces his bye week plans
The hot topic in New York City is the veteran quarterback and the Super Bowl winner, Aaron Rodgers. His future is uncertain because of rumors that the Jets don’t want to continue with him in 2025. But before going into the bye week, he said, “This will definitely be a week to clear our head, and come back, and stick together.”

HC Jeff Ulbrich had earlier said that he would love A-rod to play at the Jets, but a lot of questions need to be answered this season before moving on to the next. Ever since he has taken over as the head coach, the team’s win-loss record is 1-5 (overall 3-8). That’s disappointing.
Rodgers, on the other hand, will also be keen on the things the coach wants to change. Their 2024 season hangs by a fine thread. A miracle needs to happen if they still want to qualify for the playoffs. A-Rod & Ulbrich need to work in tandem as they meet the Seahawks on December 1 at MetLife Stadium.
