When you say the word ‘unlucky,’ the first thing that comes to mind is the Jets, the unluckiest team of the 2024-25 season. Their bad luck doesn’t seem to end. At the beginning of the season, with Aaron Rodgers fit again and ready to roll, Jets fans had high hopes that the veteran QB would take them on a ride to the championship. But it didn’t take long for the Jets to crush those dreams. Rodgers did not want the season to turn out this way, even for himself. Things kept slipping through his hands as they continued to fail.
Now that QB Aaron Rodgers’ injury has been all over the papers, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich has more bad news for the team. Revealing yet another setback for the team, Jeff shared an update on Jordan Travis’s injury. And it’s not a good one, either. “There have been some setbacks with Jordan Travis in his recovery”, said the HC. He added that, even though he’s not fit enough to play this season, he believes Jordan Travis has a bright future ahead.
There have been “some setbacks” with Jordan Travis in his recovery, Jeff Ulbrich said. Doesn’t sound like he’s an option to come off PUP at any point this season. Does believe he has bright future. #Jets

Just when you think things can’t get any worse for the Jets, they do. This year was supposed to be Jordan Travis’s debut year in the NFL, had he not been placed on the Non-Football Injury list. Jordan suffered an ankle injury in his left leg before the start of the season. He will need more time to fully recover. Hopefully, he’ll make his debut next season. That’s probably why the Jets haven’t benched Aaron Rodgers yet. They barely have any other options at QB.
Jets management has been a mess this season. Earlier, in the middle of the season, they fired head coach Robert Saleh. But when the team still couldn’t pull off any wins after that, they parted ways with GM Joe Douglas, like that was going to change anything. Looks like the team needed an excuse to explain the failure, so they threw Saleh and Douglas under the bus.

Like the Jets management, QB Aaron Rodgers is also having a tough time thinking about what he should do next. Although, there is nothing left for them to do. You’ve had a rough season, just accept it, move on, play the rest of the games, and come back stronger next time. But here’s the thing: the Jets cannot go into next season with this team. The only reason they couldn’t win was because the guys on the field weren’t performing.
Rodgers himself only has scored 17 TDs, with his completion rate hanging around 63.4%. Now, analysts are suggesting that the Jets should look for a young quarterback, rather than hold on to Rodgers, who is almost at the end of his career. These words sting him, they would sting any player, honestly. But it’s the hard truth. When you’re aging, you have to make way for younger talent. Recently, while talking to sports analyst Pat McAfee, Aaron Rodgers shared, “I don’t even know if I wanna play yet.” This is sad.
The Jets will next be playing against the Seahawks. Aaron Rodgers will be leading the team as the starting QB, as confirmed by Jeff Ulbrich. Let’s see if Rodgers manages to pull off a win for his squad.
