NFL fans don’t forget disrespect to their favorite team. Period. The football world saw a glimpse of this fact hanging over the Detroit Lions as Jayden Daniels‘ Commanders knocked them down. A rookie quarterback has shot many things with just one victory in the divisional round. Magic Johnson’s Washington Commanders have entered the conference championship round after a long gap of 33 years. Jayden Daniels has changed a lot of history and stat.
Daniels won one more satisfying game, but it was a perfect answer to St. Brown of the Detroit Lions. How? Let’s get back to September 18, 2022. On that day, the Lions defeated the Washington Commanders. Happens, right? Everything was cool and okay until the Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown passed a comment on the Commanders’ WR Dyami Brown. In an after-game press conference in 2022, St. Brown had said, “The draft, it is what it is. Even the Commanders, they got a guy before me over there. I believe his name is Dyami Brown. I don’t know how many catches he had. You guys can probably tell me that. Or how many yards he had.”
The Lions WR added, “I don’t forget things like that. I see him across the sideline from where I’m standing during the game, and I’m going to give every team hell.” As he was facing Commanders’ WR Dyami Brown, he couldn’t avoid talking smack. In fact, the Lions WR also added, “I didn’t see him in the game much.” Actually, it was a bad season for Commanders #2. But now, after the divisional win, Dyami Brown has fired back at the Lions’ WR, saying, “What’s his name? I think y’all can tell me that.”

The season 2022 was Dyami Brown’s 2nd rookie season. He played 15 games in the season to catch only five receptions. So, it followed St. Brown talking smack. But in the current season, or even in the last matchup against St. Brown, Dyami showed his worth. In the divisional game, he received 6 catches on 8 targets for 98 yards. Though it looks like weak stats, he overpowered St. Brown and ended the Lions‘ season.
After Dyami Brown’s showdown, fans understandably trolled St. Brown. That’s why people say that NFL fans don’t forget disrespect. In addition to their win, one more good news for Daniels’ WR would be his contract extension. As Daniels’ WR is going to be a free agent, these promising performances would definitely earn him a good contract in the following season.
Jayden Daniels has got a worthy WR along with a tough offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. What does a team need to catch the opponent by the neck? A quality offense, right? Besides Daniels, Kliff Kingsbury also has used strong words for Dyami Brown.
Kliff Kingsbury praises and trusts Dyami Brown’s skills
Talking about the third-round pick of the 2021 NFL drafts, Kliff Kingsbury has been overwhelmed by Dyami Brown’s performance and efforts. He has said, “Yeah, they’ve all stepped up when their number’s been called, and Dyami is the guy who, when we got here, I had known about him from North Carolina.” The 25-year-old WR has played for the North Carolina Tar Heels during his college years. In his three years of a college career at North Carolina, Dyami Brown has received a total of 123 caught with an increasing trend. 17 rec in 2018, 51 in 2019, and 55 receptions in 2020. Dope, right?

Kliff Kingsbury, the Commanders’ OC, has further praised him during a press conference. The 45-year-old coach said, “I mean, he’s showing up over and over and over, always been able to run, always been able to be really good with the ball in his hands, but his route technique and fundamentals, things like that are really improving and it’s a credit to him and the way he is approached this season. And so, to have a game like that, in that type of environment, was really cool to see that hard work paying off.” Well, great stuff, right?
