On his official Instagram handle, Jayden Daniels shared a four-word message for former LSU safety Greg Brooks. Alongside a clip from former NFL star Ryan Clark’s podcast, Daniels highlighted their strong bond. And the caption? “Love you, brudda always.” The 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year also included a red heart and praying hands emoji.
Greg Brooks, who appeared on Ryan Clark’s The Pivot Podcast on Sunday, shared a heartfelt message about his friends. Expressing his gratitude, Brooks said, “All my friends, they are living my dreams through them.” Clark, a former LSU Tiger himself, featured the quote in his post caption.

During the conversation, former Steelers safety and podcast host Ryan Clark asked all sorts of questions. “How much do your friends think about you?” He continued, “How much do your teammates think about you, knowing how far you’ve come, hearing and feeling the attitude that you had and still have?” “Do you ever get angry that you won’t be able to do some of the things you wanted to?” And Brooks responded graciously.
“Football-wise, I’m happy because all my friends, teammates—everybody—they are living my dreams through them, so I’m completely fine with it.” Clark also highlighted Brooks’ friendship with Jayden Daniels in his post.
Shortly after the post went live, Daniels—who played two seasons with the LSU Tigers from 2022 to 2023—shared his admiration. This isn’t the first time their strong bond has drawn attention. Their connection has often moved fans.

Jayden Daniels and Greg Brooks Jr. are more than just close friends—they were also teammates at LSU. Both transferred to the program for the 2022 season, with Daniels arriving from Arizona State and Brooks from Arkansas. Since then, they’ve shared a strong bond on and off the field.
Daniels’s tribute to Brooks Jr. went viral after Brooks underwent brain surgery in September 2023 to remove a tumor. Daniels has consistently praised Brooks’ strength throughout his battle with the condition. According to Bleacher Report, Daniels said Brooks’s resilience has inspired him to keep pushing and striving for greatness.

Previously, in September 2023, when Daniels donned Brooks’ jersey (number 3) at LSU Pro Day, their strong friendship captured the fans’ attention. In honor of his team captain, Daniels wore a ‘Pray For Greg Brooks Jr.’ shirt during the postgame press conference and the team warmups.
Former LSU head coach Brian Kelly also acknowledged Daniels and Brooks’ close friendship, saying, “He’s thinking about one of his teammates that he holds in high regard, and that’s the way he’s been since he got here. He’s always thinking about his teammates first.”

In a Sports Illustrated interview from December 2023, Daniels expressed his desire to be a positive example and give back. Especially in support of Brooks and the Todd Graves family.
On his 23rd birthday, Daniels made headlines by donating bikes and helmets to the Baton Rouge community. This was in partnership with Raising Cane’s. During the event, Todd Graves and Raising Cane’s presented Daniels with a $25,000 check for LSU safety Greg Brooks Jr.’s medical fund.

“This is something that I always wanted to do—to give back. Growing up, I always wanted to be a role model and an inspiration. So coming out here, giving back to the community. And being able to raise money for my best friend, Greg Brooks, and everything he’s going through… I’m just happy to be here, blessing others,” Daniels said.
