The interviewer, Caroline Hendershot, expressed surprise, to which Kinlaw responded that he also eats snakes, rabbits, and anything else he can catch. He continued, “I like to fish, hunt, I love fashion and I’m a cool dude.”
This certainly makes him a part of Shannon Sharpe’s food table, who also disclosed his unusual food chart to fans. Consequently, irking Smith even further.
Stephen A. Smith was stunned at Shannon Sharpe’s “crazy” choices!
Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A. Smith, hosts of ESPN’s First Take, usually see eye to eye on many topics, but their food preferences are a different story. Sharpe hails from Glennville, Georgia, while Smith is from Queens, New York. Given their different upbringings, it’s no surprise that they have different tastes in food.
Recently Sharpe ranked four foods he grew up eating: squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, and turtles. He even shared his preferences for cooking these proteins. On his Nightcap podcast, Sharpe revealed that he liked squirrels the best, followed by raccoons, rabbits, and then turtles. He reminisced about his childhood, mentioning that chicken was a rare treat back then.

Smith found Sharpe’s food choices amusing, especially when Sharpe enthusiastically talked about eating squirrels. Smith shared this conversation with his audience, joking about his own aversion to raccoons, turtles, or squirrels. He expressed, “This brother is hilarious. I called him an hour ago, and do you know what Shannon Sharpe said to me y’all?…..He said to me ‘Man we gotta get you outta the city. You don’t know what you missing. That New York crap, we gotta show you what real food is like.’ Food!? Raccoons? I flip up my garbage can and run before I run back to make sure none are gonna pop out.”

He emphasized that while he and Sharpe may agree on many things, food is where they truly differ. And why not? Eating adorable creatures like squirrels is rather debatable.
