The Kelce brothers’ love of beer is no secret! Be it a Super Bowl win or getting their long overdue diploma, Travis and Jason Kelce do like a good beer to celebrate. Now, they’ve taken this love to business with their latest venture as co-owners of ‘Garage Beer.’ On the latest episode of their podcast, ‘New Heights,‘ the NFL duo broke the big news to their fans. “We own a beer brand,” announced Travis, only to be promptly corrected by Jason, “Well, we’re officially part owners. We don’t own the whole thing.”
The beer market across major beer-consuming nations is worth $731.6 billion as of 2022 and is expected to grow at the rate of 7% each year till 2030. Garage Beer was the top-selling craft light beer in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana and became the fastest-growing beer in the country last year. The light brew was founded by Andrew Sauer and his team in Jan 2023. In Jason’s words, the “Cincinnati favorite” comes in two flavors: classic and lime.
While discussing why they made the decision to step into the beer business, the Kelce brothers had a simple answer: “We like beer.” Travis also emphasized how the selling point of Garage Beer is just good beer without any frills and glitters. “Yeah, that isn’t like making like a fancy -slogan or like trying to -push you to, you know, have less calories and all that. No, -if you like good beer, this is a good beer.” Jason had another amusing proposition about how the beer should be consumed, which Travis didn’t approve of!

“We like beer that tastes like beer,” said Jason. “This is a beer that you keep in the garage, and if it’s not in your garage, maybe just take it to your garage where you can bring out the table saw.” Travis couldn’t help but chuckle and say, “Because that’s always safe!” The Chiefs tight end also gave a PSA, “Also do not drink and saw, ladies and gentlemen; that is not a good combo.” The retired NFL star tried negotiating with his brother by proposing one single cut with the saw. But when Travis didn’t budge, Jason finally postponed the beer drinking to after the woodworking.
Jason Kelce feels Garage Beer is the “tight end of beers”!

Jason and Travis had different approaches to promoting their new business venture. While the Kansas City star kept it to the point and asked his fans to come back with reviews of their beer, Jason was more enthusiastic about the product. “It’s the working man’s beer,” said the former center. “Take it from us. It’s the tight end of beers.” Travis was taken by surprise at the mention of his position, and he exclaimed, “Dude, tight ends are cheap!”
However, Jason had a full-fledged reasoning behind the comparison and quoted how a tight end can fulfill five different purposes and, therefore, Garage Beer is as versatile as the TE. “It’s not a receiver,” said Jason. “-It’s not a tackle. It’s universal. This thing blocks -it catches, it throws touchdown passes every once in a while. Hey, now it line out wide, it can line in tight.” Travis jumped on the train and agreed, saying, “Name a beer that can do all five of those.”
