The year was 2018 when the Philadelphia Eagles broke through and claimed their first-ever Super Bowl. Though it takes an entire roster to win the championship, it was the offensive line that contributed the most. Now, years later, Jason Kelce’s words after that famous victory could be haunting him.

The Super Bowl winner Kelce retired after an embarrassing season for the Eagles. His partner in the offensive line working as a fellow blocker, Lane Johnson, would also be missing the days when the duo haunted the opposition quarterbacks. “I would be really scared if, like, everybody thought we had everything figured out”, said Kelce after the Super Bowl win.
But the duo of Kelce and Johnson did not display the hunger they had in previous seasons. Last time around they faltered at the final stage against the Kansas City Chiefs. And this season registered one of the most epic collapses in the history of the NFL.
“We’re already having daily discussions about what if we did this? How can we do that better? Everyone knows we can be better. The Eagles lost 6 of their last seven games, including the wildcard playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During that losing streak, head coach Nick Sirianni demoted their DC as well. Signifying things not being well off the field. And on the field, fans could witness the lack of hunger, especially from their underdog days.
