The fashion contest is on! After Pat Mahomes, it’s now Jason Kelce. Pat Mahomes sported a jersey that read, “Kansas City vs Everybody.” On the other hand, Jason is sporting a much less confrontational option. He’s at M&T Bank Stadium to cheer for his brother, Travis Kelce. And that’s probably the only time you’d see him wearing Chiefs clothes.

But now, he’s blurred lines even more by getting photographed by someone special. Someone closely related to his last Super Bowl opponent team.

There were just minutes left before the Ravens vs. Chiefs showdown started. Somewhere in the stadium, two unlikely people posed together for a photograph. Jason Kelce with Mia Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes’ half-sister. The Eagles‘ center was sporting a “Big Yeti” T-shirt under an autumn print shirt. Mia, on the other hand, was clad in a Chiefs jacket.

If you have been on social media lately, you’ll have seen the viral video. Travis Kelce scored a touchdown in last week’s game. Jason went crazy when that happened! He tore off his yellow shirt. And started climbing tables, celebrating his brother’s achievement. Guess what that shirt and today’s one had in common? Both had “Big Yeti” on them.

Now, one question is even more mysterious than the actual Yeti: Why is Travis referred to as the “Big Yeti”?

He had actually given away the reason for the name earlier. You can hear Jason call him that nickname on the “New Heights” podcast. So naturally he was asked to spill the beans on how it came about. Jason said, “It’s all about Big Yeti to me. Big Yeti is the best nickname you’ve ever had.”

It goes way back to when he was in college. The University of Cincinnati, to be precise. And here’s the surprising bit: he dabbled a lot in basketball “quite a bit.” He was often on the skins side of a shirts-and-skins pickup game. College Travis looked pretty different from today’s Travis. He had “chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair,” so, of course, people called him “Yeti.” There was one other factor as well. He was pretty slow on the hardwood. “All the homies on the court were calling me ‘Big Yeti’”.
