During an appearance on Green Light with Chris Long, Jason Kelce delved into the heart of retirement discussions. The Outside DiBirdies posted the clip on their X account, captioning it, “Jason Kelce sure sounds like he is done playing in the NFL.” However, Kelce’s reflections, particularly on the Philadelphia Eagles’ prospects, underscored his mixed emotions.

I feel really confident that the Eagles are going to be good next year,” he stated, acknowledging the team’s “great talent” and “great coaches.” He added, “I really think they’re going to come back with the vengeance. I think Jalen Hurts is gonna have a tremendous year next year.” He made it clear that the Eagles will have an exceptional year ahead and doesn’t want to let that affect his decision. But then he revealed his three-word dilemma: “Can I commit?”

He wants a desire to play from personal motivation rather than external factors. He added, “I need to make that decision of can I commit, can I mentally be there and do I want to like endure that again, winning helps.” It seems like Jason is not yet sure of what he wants to do. However, Jason’s brother, Travis Kelce, showed trust in him when he spoke about his retirement.

Travis Kelce offered an optimistic take on brother Jason Kelce’s retirement rumors. He shared his thoughts during the Super Bowl media day. While reflecting on Jason’s future in the sport, he said, “I think he’s got some football left in him.”

He was suggesting an anticipation of Jason taking the field for the upcoming season’s Week 1 in Brazil and killing it there, too. Despite his positive outlook, Travis tempered his expectations with a dose of realism and didn’t go completely overboard. He added, “I’m not a betting man, but… I’m going to leave that up to him.”
