While speculations are being made about Jason Kelce’s future, the NFL legend is busy giving back to the community. The 36-year-old recently reached out to the Eagles’ fanbase with a message.

Former Eagles’ center, Jason Kelce, invited fans to join the Eagles Autism Challenge as World Autism Month started this Monday. Eagles Official X account shared a video of Jason, where he asked interested people to “run, walk, do whatever” they want as long as they “just enter and come on board”. The recently retired athlete stated that anyone who enters can help “support Eagles’ Autism-related care and research” with the help of this initiative.

Interestingly, Jason Kelce is not the first one in his family to speak up about the initiative. His wife, Kylie, joined TODAY a day prior to shed light on the works of the Eagles Autism Foundation. She shared her opinion on the foundation’s impact, stating “I’m so proud that the Eagles have taken their passion and transformed it into something like this.” The former soccer player felt grateful “to be able to provide opportunities for kids on the spectrum” and felt that this was “such a special moment to be a part of.”

The foundation recently took over the TODAY Show plaza in New York to interact with young kids. They even held some exciting football challenges for the young participants. The foundation’s Executive Director, Ryan Hammond, also shared his views on the event. Hopping on the positivity bandwagon, Hammond said, “You saw all of these kiddos participating. You saw Swoop with his headphones. Our cheerleaders. Our drumline. It really is an organizational priority that’s so authentic which is how we got everyone up here with buses that start at 2:30 a.m. but yeah, it’s just amazing to see how far we’ve come and it really makes you feel like the future is just gonna be really bright.

But are you aware of what the Eagles Autism Challenge is and how to join?

Join the Eagles Autism Challenge

The challenge is a fundraising drive by the Eagles Autism Foundation. The foundation primarily focuses on providing funds for research and care programs for people on the Autism spectrum. Initiated in 2018, the challenge so far has helped the Eagles in raising 22 million dollars with the help of more than 120k donations.

This year, the challenge will take place on May 18th, 2024. The challenge in itself includes 3 activities and participants will be provided medals and other goodies based on the event they take part in. Participants can either opt for a Bike Ride, a 5 km running and walking track, or a sensory walk if they wish to cover lesser distance than 5 kms. Additionally, people who can’t be physically present at the event can still participate by opting for virtual participation as well.
