While it is arguable who the better athlete is between Jason and Travis Kelce, we might have a hint about who’s smarter! The former Philadelphia Eagles center related his father, Ed’s incident from his childhood, which displayed a quality of Travis that might make a great golfer, the likes of Bryson DeChambeau.

In a conversation with Andrew Santino, Jason discussed Travis’s creative and instinctive skills while quoting the “right brain -left brain” analogy. He commented that the Chiefs’ tight end has more “creative-minded -instincts” that could be very useful in certain sports and positions. “Like that’s how he’s lived his life whole life and he’s hounded that to perfection. And I think receivers and tight ends, people that -carry the ball, it benefits them to think along those lines.

The center took the example of golf and soccer, explaining how it allows one with good instincts to excel while analytical skills help more in quarterback and center positions. Santiano mentioned Bryson ‘The Scientist’ DeChambeau as someone who is very analytical on the golf court. Jason also seconded his opinion by comparing the former golfer to a “robot” for his almost-perfect play.

While establishing Travis’s potential expertise in golf, the older Kelce also revealed how their dad had caught onto it earlier on. “Even when we were kids, he [Ed] would tell this story all the time how he thought Travis was smarter than me,” explained Jason. “We both got the same Lego set when we were kids, and I opened the box, and I opened the instructions, and I put the thing together piece by piece following the instructions. And by the time I got done, Travis’ was already done, and he just looked at the box and put the thing together.”

While we’re on the topic of golf, the Kelce brothers will get the chance to test out their skills soon enough. The duo has become the latest names to be added to the guest list for the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament.
