Jason Kelce might no longer be a part of the Eagles. However, that has not stopped him from sharing his takes on the league’s players and even some serious debates. Most recently, the former Philadelphia Eagles’ center had agreed with the Bengals’ star, Joe Burrow on his take on 18-game seasons on his podcast, New Heights. Now, the 36-year-old has taken to social media to share his thoughts on the recent Patriots’ draft, Drake Maye.

In a post on X, sports broadcaster, Ross Tucker shared a clip of Maye walking into off-season practice. However, the focus seemed to be on the quarterback’s rather stuffed pockets. The 45-year-old added a caption that read, “I’ve never seen someone have bigger/ more items in their pockets than Drake Maye. Is that a good sign or a red flag?”

With the question being posed to anyone who read it, Kelce stumbled up on it and shared his two hilarious cents on the situation. The former Eagles athlete tried to defend Maye but ended up siding with Tucker in a plot twist. Kelce commented on the post, “With a backpack on as well. I mean, I understand overstuffed pockets if it’s your only option to hold things, but this has to be cumbersome to walk around like that.”

Apart from agreeing with the sportscaster, the 36-year-old hyped him and his “player evaluations” up, stating, “I think there’s something to it.” While Kelce’s support for Tucker may have come as a surprise, it seems they’re acquainted. After all, just a year ago, the former NFL star had met up with the 36-year-old’s dad to talk about his life as a father to two talented footballers.

When Ross Tucker met Kelce’s father

2022 season was quite big for the Kelce family. With the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles making it to the Super Bowl title decider, the brothers, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, were set to go up against each other. Even though the 34-year-old had won, the attention still wound up falling on the brothers and even their extremely supportive parents, Donna and Ed Kelce.

In an episode of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast, Ed Kelce was brought on as a guest. During the conversation, the broadcaster asked the father of two whether he had to hold in his happiness at the Super Bowl. After all, it had been a big win for one, an unfortunate loss for the other, and he had been sitting with Eagles’ fans and his older son’s agent as well.

The 52-year-old answered, “Yeah, I did. But not only that, they had me mic’d up. The NFL had me mic’d up, and I had to be very careful about everything I said.” With the father of Travis and Jason having a rather swell time on the podcast, it makes sense that Jason appreciated Tucker and his takes.
