Jason Kelce might just be his brother, Travis Kelce’s, biggest supporter, apart from his mom, Donna. The former Eagles star has done everything from cheering him on during the season to celebrating the 34-year-old’s wins. And now, after retiring from the NFL earlier this year, the father of two has given the tight end a glowing comparison to Spanish soccer club Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane, whom the Chiefs athlete had just met recently.
In today’s episode of the New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers discussed the situations happening in the NFL and the Miami GP. After addressing Joe Burrow’s advice to the league’s commissioner, Roger Goodell, about an 18-game season, they began discussing the world of soccer. During the conversation, the 36-year-old stated, “The thing that I loved about Zidane was that it was just, it was all efficient. It was a smooth operation.”
“It reminded me a lot of you, the way you play football,” continued the older Kelce sibling. Without skipping a beat, he elaborated on what he meant by saying, “Like it was like you’re watching him dance while he’s doing all this stuff. It was always, it was a blast to watch him play.” While Travis did not acknowledge the compliment, the 34-year-old did express joy at linking up with the 51-year-old.

After all, just days ago, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had a somewhat wholesome interaction with the former Real Madrid player and coach, Zizou.
Travis Kelce’s first meeting with Zinedine Zidane
A few days ago, Travis Kelce surprised his fans when he appeared at the Miami GP with Patrick Mahomes and other celebrities. Although he had attended the event, he was without pop star girlfriend, Taylor Swift. While his arrival came as a surprise at the venue, the 34-year-old seemed to be in for his own personal surprise. In a surprising crossover, he bumped into the soccer star, Zinedine Zidane.

During the same episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce reflected on his first meeting with Zizou. He told his brother, Jason, “He was cool man, and honestly I was just happy I didn’t get head-butted! It would have been an honor.” Although the older sibling seemed to think that would have left some lasting damage, it did not change the 34-year-old’s mind much.

After all, Kelce had been looking up to Zidane and his legendary artistry for years. It was also an added benefit for the tight end that his “favorite footballer” had congratulated him on his leading team, Alpine. The 34-year-old and his teammate, Mahomes, had both invested in the racing team.
Luckily for the teammates, Mahomes and Kelce might have a chance to meet Zizou again soon. After all, he too is involved with the Alpine racing team as an ambassador. However, that meeting might take a while to happen.
