Travis Kelce is having a dream season on and off the field. From making clutch plays with the Kansas City Chiefs to dominating headlines alongside Taylor Swift, he’s been in the spotlight nonstop. Meanwhile, his older brother, Jason Kelce, is stepping into a new role after retiring from the NFL earlier this year. The former Philadelphia Eagles center has announced his latest project of hosting a late-night show on ESPN, blending football nostalgia with entertainment.
Jason’s new show, They Call It Late Night, is set to premiere in January 2025 and will air every Friday during the NFL postseason. Drawing inspiration from late-night legends like Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel, Jason’s goal is to bring fans a unique blend of football and fun. And who’s the first guest on his show? None other than his younger brother, Travis! On the New Heights podcast, Jason confirmed, “Pick me, pick me,” Travis joked, to which Jason replied, “You’re more than welcome to come on the show.”
The show will feature live music, panels with current and former NFL players, and even a live audience. Jason shared how the idea came from his love for “old iconic NFL songs” and his desire to recapture the camaraderie of being around “the guys” post-retirement. Snacktime, a Philly band, is already set to provide the musical vibes.

The ex-Center revealed that Conan O’Brien was his favorite late-night host growing up, confessing how he’d watch episodes with friends after hockey practice. “I’ve always loved Conan,” Jason said, citing O’Brien’s humor and creativity as major influences. He also credited Jimmy Kimmel for giving him tips on hosting, from choosing topics to connecting with an audience. “Jimmy was the man, offered tons of advice,” he said.
With Travis as his first guest and his trademark humor, Jason’s transition from the gridiron to the small screen promises to be a touchdown.
