Jared Goff was born on October 14, 1994, to his parents Jerry Goff and Nancy in Novato, California, United States. Doubtlessly, they both have been his constant pillars of support. His father, Jerry Goff, a former MLB catcher, has helped him develop athleticism and discipline and pushed him into the NFL world.

In addition to this, Sr. Goff played baseball for the University of California. In 1983, he was drafted out of high school by the Oakland Athletics. Besides this, the New York Yankees also drafted him in 1984, but he opted to attend UC Berkeley. There, he established himself by tying for ninth place all-time in career home runs.

During his baseball career, the NFL QB’s father played six seasons with the Houston Astros, Montreal Expos, and Pittsburgh Pirates. The third-round pick in 1986 displayed his prowess during 90 games in his MLB career as a Seattle Mariners Mariners player. Jerry Goff caught notable attention for shattering a 90-year record on May 12, 1996, by matching the MLB record for most passed balls in a single game.

He broke the record held by late Rube Vickers, a former Cincinnati Reds pitcher. Jerry Goff is considered one of the MLB’s legendary players, batting .215 with a .320 on-base percentage. Like his father, Jared is following in his footsteps but in the NFL world. Raised in a sporting environment, Jared’s mother, Nancy, also played a significant role in shaping his NFL career.

Nancy Goff, a mortgage advisor for Flagstar Bank, shares a close bond with Jared. Their love and support for each other have been displayed on many occasions. Previously, on Mother’s Day, the NFL QB expressed his unwavering love for his mom on Instagram: “Happy Mother’s Day Mom! Love you so much! Thanks for all you do for me and our family.” It was not the first time, that the tight-knit bond with his mom went viral. During the 2016 NFL Draft, his parents’ support grabbed public attention.
