Is Ja'Marr Chase's diamond-studded chain a masterpiece of personal expression or over-the-top extravagance?

The Cincinnati Bengals went against the Baltimore Ravens to play the 10 game of their 2024 season and their wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase showed up to the M&T Bank Stadium in style. While it’s common to see football stars all blinged out on the occasion, Chase’s jewelry comes with a bit of a swag. So, what kind of jewelry does he have?

Apparently, Chase got a new piece of jewelry in July of this year and it’s something of an eye candy. Jason of Beverly Hills made a chain for him a couple of months ago and it has all his tattoos on it. Of course, diamonds stud the chain. Also, there’s actually a video of the chain being made.

MLFootball gave us a glimpse of the process of designing and completing the chain. The chain is loaded with words like “UNO” and even has a 7-Eleven logo on it. Perhaps the store has a significance to him. But while the diamonds shine as bright as the sun at the front, the back of the jewelry is even more appalling.

The pendant has an engraving of an eagle at the back and words that say, “Rise Above All Madness.” But that’s not all. It also has the Roman numerals, “VII. II. MVMXLVII” at the back of it, and above the numerals, it says, “THIEF IN THE KNIGHT.” Jason Arasheben who also designs NBA championship rings posted the piece on his X account with a special message.

“Ja’Marr Chase wanted something that captured his personal story. Every one of his tattoos brought to life in this custom piece with one added feature to be named later,” Arasheben’s post on X read. Rumors are this chain costs around $150,000. That’s the kind of money people can buy a house with.

Everyone knows who Johnny Dang is. Those who don’t might want to do their homework. Anyways, Dov Kleiman uploaded a video on May 2. It showed the Bengals receiver hanging out with a jeweler, who made $100k grills for him. Diamonds of all shapes and sizes stud it. But the ones that should be on the tooth are too big. Again, they might just make you blind if you look at them.

In the video, Chase was wearing another bust-down Cuban link. That might have run him another couple of thousands of dollars. That’s a heck of an investment in jewelry. So, thinking that Chase might easily own half a million dollars worth of jewelry isn’t far-fetched.
