A bad gesture by Jamal Adams? The Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams just targeted a family member of one reporter recently on social media. And as a result, the football player has been facing the brunt of it from other journalists and NFL spectators.
The Hawks lost a football game to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. One of the major reasons for the loss was Adams’ inability to prevent Jake Ferguson from scoring a winning touchdown. One reporter gave his view on his beaten touchdown episode and Adams could not hold back from responding, displaying his frustration on X.

He wrote “Yikes” on the reporter’s wife’s photo, grabbing a lot of hateful comments for his action. Another reporter, Brian Costello took to his social media, and backlashed Adams for his behavior. He wrote, “I’ve covered a lot of players through the years. Never met any who was more of a phony than Jamal Adams. I always thought he was a bad guy. Today he proved he is even worse than I thought.”
Ultimately, Adams had to delete his tweet to pause the criticism for himself. Meanwhile, the NFL hasn’t released any statement or penalty on Adams. This is not the first time he has found himself in controversy once again. Earlier it was due to his confrontational attitude towards the neurotrauma consultants a few weeks back.

The NFL didn’t punish Seahawks safety Jamal Adams for his behavior toward an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant. After the game against the Giants in Week 4, Adams sustained a concussion. During the concussion protocol, the doctor who was attending Adams was targeted by the athlete. According to the reports and a viral video, he was seen yelling at the doctor for undisclosed reasons, and then the team’s staff had to intervene.
Despite this shocking incident and online criticism, the NFL did not take any disciplinary action against him. However, Adams later apologized publicly on social media to the consultant. Furthermore, after the Bengals game, when the concussion doctor came to check on him, he reportedly misbehaved with the doctor, marking it as the second incident. Consequently, he was later penalized $50,000 for his actions.
