Has Tiffany & Co. sent the Eagles‘ Lombardi with their name inscribed on it? No, we’re asking because it looks like Jalen Hurts is getting ready to send another one to them to write their name on it. The season is over, and it’s time for players to take that long-awaited vacation. Maybe spend some quality time with family. It’s a chance for a little breather after a grueling season. But that doesn’t apply to Jalen Hurts. The Eagles’ QB is in no mood for a break.
On Sunday, the NFL’s official IG page shared a video of Hurts that got Philly fans already pumped for the next Super Bowl run. The Eagles’ QB is sweating it out on the gridiron, practicing throws. The NFL captioned the post, “No offseason for @jalenhurts 😤.” It’s been two weeks since Philly won the Super Bowl, and Jalen is already back on the field. Philly’s Super Bowl LIX trophy didn’t even have time to cool down from being handled, celebrated, and paraded around.

Well, that’s Super Bowl LIX MVP for you. This is the first time Hurts has ever won a Lombardi. And it was, of course, a win for the books. Not only did the team avenge their 2022 Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs, but they also snatched away their chance of securing a three-peat. The bets were against the Eagles for the big game. They were the team with ‘less’ experience, given that it was Kansas City’s fifth Super Bowl appearance in the last six seasons. And the ‘less’ experienced were thrashing the ‘much’ experienced team like they had been waiting for this moment. Philly had such a grip over the game that they made the Chiefs fans leave the stadium midway through the game.
Well, that has been talked about enough already. For now, what might interest you is that the NFL might make a decision that could work against the newly crowned champions.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ famous Tush Push on the NFL’s hit list?
“For me, as a center, it sucks. It’s a grueling play where you’re going to get as low as possible,” admits former Eagles star Jason Kelce. The tush push has been Philly’s weapon that got them big wins. And it’s not like only the Eagles have this weapon. It’s just that they are the only ones who have mastered using it perfectly. There are 32 franchises in this league. And only one knows how to use it in a way that makes rival defenses tremble at the sight of them.

And now, the talk of the town is that the Eagles’ infamous tush push might be on the NFL’s banning list. So, is the NFL rulebook finally catching up to the push-the-quarterback sneak? The NFL audience has often expressed their displeasure at the controversial ‘cheat code.’ Even NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell shares the same view. After the Eagles’ wild success, an 82% success rate, the criticism grew even louder, especially since 2022. Now, once again, after another successful season with a spectacular display of the technique, the NFL’s committee is back in discussions.

Rich McKay says, “The NFL competition committee spent no time today on the push-the-quarterback sneak but expects to discuss it at some point.” So, whether the NFL decides to ban Jalen Hurts’s infamous play is still up in the air. But if they do, it might be a real trouble for Philly.
