Questionable

2021 – Jalen Hurts faced a “sore” ankle in a game against the Giants. He was questionable to return the next week. The Eagles’s next game was with the Jets, and due to the QB’s injury, then-backup Gardner Minshew II replaced him for that matchup.

2022 – Played through the Week 15 game and led his team to a victory against the Bears. However, Hurts’s shoulder injury refrain him from playing his next two games. He was listed out on the injury list in Week 16 and doubtful in Week 17. Despite being questionable in Week 18, Hurts returned to play against the Giants and won.

2023 – Jalen Hurts was named on the injured reserve list for Week 15 game due to illness. However, he returned without missing any games.

2024 – In the week 16 game against the Commanders, Hurts sustained a concussion in the first quarter. This grade 1 injury led him to miss the next two games in the season.

2024 – He dislocated his middle finger of his throwing hand during a play against the Giants in Week 18. Although he didn’t miss any game due to it, he just sat out for the second half. That game was won by Philly.

2025 – The QB was sacked in the third quarter, which left him hopping on the field towards the medical tent. However, he didn’t miss any snap of the divisional round game, as he returned wearing a knee brace. His status was questionable too in the NFC battle against the Commanders, but he did return to lead his team to win the title.

So, now the question is: Will this knee problem continue for Jalen Hurts in the Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs?

What’s the update on Jalen Hurts’s injury?

So, all in all, Jalen Hurts is looking healthy at just the right time. Despite suffering a knee injury in the divisional-round win over the Rams, he pushed through, wearing a brace to finish the game. In addition, leading up to the NFC Championship, he started the week with limited practice but was back to full participation by Thursday and Friday. And in the game, he began the matchup against the Commanders with the brace but ditched it in the first half.

No doubt, Jalen Hurts is looking sharp, rushing 10 times the most since Week 15 – and throwing for 246 yards and a touchdown. Now, with the Super Bowl approaching, his knee doesn’t seem to be an issue. The Eagles’s faithful are expecting the same throughout the game in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.
