Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts addressed some lingering questions after losing two back-to-back games. Two weeks ago, the Eagles were leading the charge in the NFC. After losing two straight games against NFC rivals the 49ers and the Cowboys, the team has lost its top spot. This has caused some uneasy questions to arise.

The offense didn’t turn up at full scale in either game. While the 49ers defeated the Eagles 42-19, the Cowboys won 33-13. Something to notice is that the Eagles’ offense couldn’t score even half the points as their opponents smashed them thoroughly. Now, Jalen Hurts has admitted what went wrong.

Against the 49ers, the Eagles produced merely two TDs, while Brock Purdy alone scored four during the clinical decimation. Well, you can’t put a finger on the Eagles’ offense after just one loss, but last week’s game against the Cowboys has proved it was not a one-off. The Eagles scored only a single TD in the entire game and produced just 13 points. In a recent presser, Hurts finally broke his silence on his team’s offensive struggles.

A reporter pointed out the weak performance of the offense. “Do you feel like this offense gives you enough easy throws?” Hurts didn’t score a single TD in the last game, acknowledged the facts, and expressed his feelings, “I feel like we’re not executing what’s going on well enough.” It is a good sign that at least the team knows what aspects they have to improve. The team needs to sort out their struggles in executing plans; time is not on their side.

Jalen Hurts has scored only one touchdown in the two losing causes. He needs to prepare better to support his offense unit so the team can return to winning ways.
