Trevor Lawrence’s uncertain future has caused the entire NFL world to keep an eye on him. The quarterback’s trade has been rumored for a long time. And his status has been going back and forth like a pendulum. Finally, he seemed to have put an end to this predicament. The quarterback has announced his decision, and things have taken an interesting turn.
Lawrence was recently featured on the Up and Adams show when the trade rumor was thrown at him. And the QB completely denied it. He added that, while he was unaware of all the reports at the time, his agent approached him about the rumors. But he wasn’t looking forward to any changes right now. The QB claimed that he finds the Jaguars as a family to him where he wants to win his first Super Bowl. So due to these sentiments, the man is not looking for a trade anytime in the near future.

Lawrence explained his thoughts by stating, “My agent texted me and said hey this is a report about there isn’t anything to it but I will check into it… I would know about it if I was getting traded or something that was going to happen so I have to be on board with it which I am not. I am happy here in Jacksonville you know we wanna win a Super Bowl here and I think we can do that. So I am not leaving Jacksonville I am happy here not going to Pittsburgh”
After totally rejecting the accusations Trevor Lawrence discussed how his agency became aware of the rumors. The Jaguars do not currently employ a general manager who would have informed the player about the potential trade. So in place of that Liam Coen, the team’s head coach, was the one responsible for the report’s information delivery. Coen told Lawrence that the Jaguars were not speaking with the team. And the HC also wanted to know if the QB was in talks with them. However, this was clearly not the case.

Although these updates clear up a lot of confusion, one issue remains: if the Jaguars were not speaking with the Steelers, how did the report spread as a rumor?
Could it be that the Steelers would approach Trevor Lawrence?
It’s possible that the Steelers were the only team interested in making this trade happen. And while talking about that Lawrence stated on the Up and Adams show that he was not at all informed or approached by any team. The Steelers have also resolved their ongoing QB dilemma as Art Rooney have finalised what he wants for the team.

For those who missed Art Rooney, the team’s owner has confirmed that Russell Wilson can return to the lineup. The club has faith in the experienced quarterback and believes he can lead them to a Super Bowl victory. On the other side, the team is hoping to sign Justin Fields as its backup quarterback. In an interview, Rooney explained, “I think both of them see themselves as starters and I don’t know that they want to share the same job again next year. So, I would say most likely we probably don’t wind up bringing them both back”
This plainly indicates that the claims were primarily hearsay, and neither team was eager for a deal. Now that the squad and the supporters have been cleansed of any uncertainty. They may all look forward to new plans for the coming season. Stay tuned for future updates.
