However, most of the popularity is due to his controversies that have been surfacing since December 2019, when he and his sister-in-law Brittany Mahomes taunted Patriots fans in a Chiefs game. Since then, the controversies and hatred have unfortunately continued surrounding the younger Mahomes brother.

The TikTok Star came into the spotlight once again last year when he was reportedly arrested due to an alleged battery case. Although Jackson got some relaxation at the start of this year, his legal trouble hasn’t completely ended yet. And now, another update regarding Jackson’s plea has arrived.

According to the latest update on Jackson Mahomes’ legal case, Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother, “pleads no contest to a misdemeanor battery charge in Kansas City on Thursday.” Jackson faced legal trouble in connection with an incident at a restaurant in KC. He was accused of shoving a waiter, allegedly grabbing the owner’s neck, and kissing her against her win in February 2023. After the complaint of the said victim, Jackson Mahomes was arrested and charged in May 2023. However, the next day, he posted a $100,000 bond and left the Johnson County Jail.

Mahomes received a six-month probation sentence after prosecutors dropped felony charges related to aggravated sexual battery reportedly due to a lack of cooperation from the woman involved. The remaining misdemeanor battery charge stemmed from Jackson allegedly shoving a waiter, who reportedly “tried to come into the room where Jackson was with the woman.

The woman, Aspen Vaughn’s refusal to testify led to the dismissal of the more serious charges. Vaughn reported facing threats and harassment due to the incident, leading to the closure of her restaurant. Jackson Mahomes’ attorney, Brandon Davies, on the other hand, released a statement saying, “Like I said from the beginning, Jackson has done nothing wrong. We had full confidence that the truth of the matter would ultimately be revealed. The defense will reserve further comment until the remaining count is disposed of.”

Despite all of this, Jackson has surely been given some relaxation in his legal procedure, and his family, including Patrick Mahomes and Randi Mahomes are there with him.

What are the Mahomes family’s thoughts on Jackson’s legal case?

While Jackson Mahomes hasn’t provided any statements regarding the legal case, he has aligned with his mother, Randi Mahomes, in dismissing the battery charges as “fake allegations.” The mom of three expressed, “We put this pasture behind us. There were some fake allegations against him that finally came out, which was a lot — Besides my mom passing, with all this at the same time. We were blessed that it all got dropped because of the situation, for other reasons.”

On the other hand, when Patrick Mahomes was asked about his brother’s legal controversy last May, he simply denied talking on the issue, by saying, “Honestly, it’s kind of a personal thing that I just kind of gotta keep to myself. At the end of the day, I come here to play football and try to take care of my family at the same time.

Besides the ongoing controversies, Jackson recently gained his “heroic” title, adding some positivity to his image, when a fan revealed he saved three people during the Super Bowl parade shooting this year.
