With or without Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins are committed to being the fastest offense in the league. At least, that’s what Tua Tagovailoa said in the presser after a blowout win against the New York Jets tonight. A lot of fans thought that Tagovailoa was nothing without Hill after their loss to the Tennessee Titans, but all that changed today.
Yes, the Dolphins dominated the Jets with a 30-0 victory, but it’s safe to say that if Hill were in the game, the deficit might have been even higher. It’s tough for the Dolphins as the ‘fastest offense’ in the league just got a tad bit slow. But the QB is focused on getting on with it ahead of the game against the Cowboys.

Tua was asked about his 60-yard pass to Jaylen Waddle. He quoted by saying that he just passed the ball and Waddle made the play. However, the following question was even more interesting. The reporter mentioned how the offense has taken a hit ever since Hill suffered an ankle injury. Asking the QB about his practice regimen without their star WR and how it affected the offense vs the Jets.
“As we looked throughout the week not having Tyreek, yeah, it’s tough not having one of your star guys out there. But, um, as a collective group, um you know, it likes what are we going to do without Tyreek” said the QB.
Tua further added, “We shouldn’t change who we are as an offense because one guy is out, we’ve got a lot of other guys that we believe in, keep on the team, you know, that’s what’s happening out there.” The QB is still focused on playing fast. Maybe that’s what this Miami team’s identity has become now, with players like Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle on the squad.

It’s still unclear when Tyreek Hill will suit up to play again. However, the Dolphins would need him the most for the Cowboys game. For now, the QB can rejoice in the taste of a sweet win against the Jets.

At some point in the game, Tagovailoa was 11/11 in the game as he slung a 60-yard pass to Waddle for a touchdown. By the end of this game, he came out with 21 out of 24 completed passes and a TD. He passed for 224 yards throughout the game. It was so awesome that it got Stephen M. Ross himself doing the ‘Waddle Dance’. The QB performance vs the Jets was proved Cam Newton wrong. Newton recently made headlines by stating that the Miami QB is not a difference maker and is just a ‘game manager’. Maybe Newton’s views might change after tonight’s game.
The QB led the team to the top of their division and might be in the MVP conversation. If the Fins against the Dallas Cowboys, people will be singing his praises for a while. And if Tyreek Hill suits up, things will get even more interesting on Christmas!
