It was a game! Mind-blowing. At halftime, the Chargers were up by 24-6, but Joe Burrow led the Bengals back to equalize the scores with 27 each. However, the Chargers won it 34-27. Kicker Evan McPherson must be disappointed with those 2 field goals that he missed in the 4th quarter. The result would have been different. Bengals HC Zac Taylor was disappointed with the loss too.
He is also tired of losing the games in the last few minutes. In the post-game conference, he said, “It’s sick the way these games are ending. At some point, this has got to help us.” He also expressed pride in his locker room for the fightback but accepted the defeat by adding. “They just made more on play than we did.”

The head coach would have to find that missing spark. Though they were behind at halftime, their comeback was nothing more than a miracle. At one point, they looked like the favorites. But then came the shocker. McPherson wasted two chances, first from the 48-yards, and then from the 51-yards. Had he converted it, it would have been a crazy celebration. Alas, it didn’t happen!
Zac Taylor was visibly sad at the result. They have similarly lost too many games. The week 2 loss against the Chiefs by 25-26, the week 5 OT loss against the Ravens by 38-41, and the 34-35 loss against the Ravens again in week 10. After today’s loss, the locker room is curious if they are fit enough to play. Who Dey Nation is mourning.

But he also showed confidence in his team. While talking about their playoff chances, Zac Taylor surprised everyone with his positivity and mentioned, “We’re going to be right there in the end.” He claimed that they still have a good chance of qualifying. The only thing needed is to control the last plays and convert them. But would it be so easy? Doesn’t look like that.
With a 4-7 win-loss record, and sitting in the 3rd position in the AFC North and 10th in the conference, a revival is easier said than done. The fans are tired of listening to these talks and want to see them win some games on the field. The road ahead is full of challenges.
