The Philadelphia Eagles have been highly unreliable in the last few games of the season. Though they did manage to break their 3-game losing streak, the win was not up to the standards of a Super Bowl team. And the centre Jason Kelce isn’t afraid to share his thoughts on the sloppy win.

The losing streak finally ended against the underperforming New York Giants. But this win has raised several questions and answered only a few. And the Eagles’ veteran Kelce piles up on those with his honest thoughts.

Jason Kelce stays realistic in the face of victory

The Eagles eliminated the Giants from the playoff race by winning the contest 33-25. After losing against some of the best competitors available in the NFC, this win against the minnows doesn’t taste sweet. And Jason Kelce agrees.

“It’s Week (16) right now. It’s embarrassing to have too many guys on the field. I had a bad snap. …It was a sloppy game overall”, said Kelce after the game. The Super Bowl winner understands that this game could’ve gone the other way as well.

“The mistakes, gross errors, penalties, kept them in the ball game”, said the 36-year-old. Though the Eagles are already through the playoffs, if their form and consistency don’t come back, it could be a very short postseason for them.

The Eagles need to fly high again

At the start of the season, the Eagles looked unbeatable, and for 9 weeks, they were unbeaten. But two massive losses against the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers forced HC Nick Sirianni’s hand into taking a drastic step. With a winning record at hand, they demoted their DC Sean Desai.

New DC Matt Patricia was promoted from within, but suffered a loss in his first game against the Seattle Seahawks.
