The Mahomes family is taking over the sports world! He’s now dominating another sport after winning two Super Bowl Championships in five years. As we know, Patrick Mahomes is not just a maven in the gridiron but also in the world of business. He has investments in the MLB team, Kansas City Royals, the women’s soccer team, Kansas City Current, the F1 team, Alpine, and the MLS team, Sporting KC. After a triumph over the Los Angeles Chargers, he is also working his magic on his soccer team.

Patrick Mahomes also seems to be taking it easy, knowing the Kansas City Chiefs have a game against the Denver Broncos this Sunday Night Football. The Chiefs have beaten the Broncos once already in the game before the one with the Chargers. Have the Chiefs become complacent, and will it prove costly for them?

#15 took to X to share a post by MLS with the caption, “Big time win!! @SportingKC #PaintTheWall”. The regular time saw a drought with neither Sporting KC nor the San Jose Earthquakes successfully sending the ball flying into the opponent’s goalpost. And then the game entered into a penalty shootout. The close, nail-biting shootout went for five kicks before Kansas City emerged victorious with four penalties vs. the Earthquakes’ 2. While we still don’t see it as a “big” win but, hey, a win is a win.

The MLS commentators were excited by the presence of ex-soccer player Brittany Mahomes. “It’s Brittany Mahomes!” one of them said. The video shared by MLS was captioned, This guy knows a thing or two about the postseason. @PatrickMahomes & @BrittanyLynne in the house to support the home squad! #SportingKC // Audi #MLSCupPlayoffs.” Referring to Mahomes’ Super Bowl wins, MLS seemed overjoyed to have the couple in the house with them.

Both teams seem to be downplaying the other’s threat

After the Broncos’ win over the Green Bay Packers, a reporter asked Russell Wilson how he would prepare for the Chiefs game in the media interaction. He dodged the question initially and said that the first thing that he and his team need to do is celebrate. Sure, their latest victory came after a tough battle and after a 1-5 record, but can the Broncos afford to take the Chiefs threat lightly? Especially knowing that they had beaten them once less than a fortnight ago?

The Chiefs also need to gear up for a tough battle. The #3 Broncos player said that his team “feeds off of the energy of the crowd.” The last game was played at Arrowhead Stadium, but it will be on the Broncos’ home turf this time. Will the home advantage prove costly for the Chiefs as they face off against a resurgent Denver at Empower Field on October 29 at 4:25 PM ET?
