The new NFL romance has everyone doing a double-take. Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, 72, and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson are the talk of the town, stirring up more controversy than a questionable pass interference call.
On “The View,” Joy Behar went for a two-point conversion of zingers. “This girl is hearing wedding bells. The question is: Can he hear them?” she quipped, before adding, “There’s only so much Viagra in the world, OK?” Looks like Behar’s not buying what Belichick’s selling.
While the age gap of the couple is at the center of attention again, it’s not just the years that have people talking. It is Bill Belichick’s estimated $70 million net worth that has tongues wagging. As Behar bluntly put it, “Let’s not be romantic about it. It’s about the cash, come on.”

Mark Schlereth of “The Stinkin Truth Podcast” threw a flag on the play, calling the relationship “creepy.” He didn’t mince words: “If that’s my daughter, Bill Belichick’s getting his ass kicked.” Schlereth added, “This is just a flat-out cry for help. Somebody in the NFL please hire Bill Belichick.”
Hudson, a former competitive cheerleader, brings her accomplishments to the table. She’s a college graduate and National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Championship winner. The relationship reportedly began in 2022, following Belichick’s split from Linda Holliday, his partner of 16 years.

Unpacking the Bill Belichick-Hudson Connection
While some are crying foul, others see a potential game-winning drive for love. The couple reportedly bonded over philosophy during a 2021 flight. Belichick even signed Hudson’s textbook, writing, “Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course in logic! Safe travels!” Hudson isn’t just warming the bench. Her Instagram bio describes her as a “Glamorous Girl Scout” and “philosopher,” hinting at diverse interests. She’s overcome neurological damage from cheerleading concussions.
The couple recently took their romance public, spotted on Belichick’s aptly named boat “VIII Rings” in Nantucket. Hudson looked chic in an off-the-shoulder black top and white lace shorts, while Belichick sported his signature casual look.
Even Tom Brady couldn’t resist getting in on the action. During his Netflix roast in April, he joked about a viral Ring camera video showing a shirtless Belichick leaving Hudson’s house at 6 a.m. Brady quipped, “My favorite [ring] is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago.”
It’s worth noting that Belichick isn’t the only Patriots having seen in a relationship with someone relatively far younger. Owner Robert Kraft, 76, dated 38-year-old Ricki Noel Lander after his wife passed away in 2011.
In the end, only time will tell if this May-December romance is Super Bowl-worthy or just another deflated controversy. But one thing’s for sure – in the game of love, Belichick and Hudson are facing tougher coverage than a double-teamed wide receiver.
