Hosting the Raiders in Miami, the Dolphins are looking to stage a late push for a playoff spot this season. And their game on Sunday is already lighting up their chances to secure a playoff berth. After leading the Raiders by 4 points going into the second half, everything was moving well for the Phins. However, there could be certain concerns for their fans in Miami, as cameras showed a different picture.

Their star receiver, Tyreek Hill, who has already racked up 37 receptions for 462 yards with just two TDs, may have injured his ankle. Well, that’s what Josh Moser, a Miami-based sports broadcaster, thinks as he claims Hill’s ankle might have been pulled on a tackle that got him running out of bounds. Although there aren’t any confirmations regarding Hill’s possible injury. He was already fighting through one coming into the game.

After their win over the Rams last week, Hill decided to stay back in Los Angeles to visit a specialist for his wrist injury. And after their assessment, it was reported that Hill might have to opt for surgery to resolve the issue once and for all. “Surgery was brought up, and it was talked about, whenever I talked to a few of the doctors. But it’s my call at the end of the day, and my call is to stay out on the field,” as per Hill.

However, that decision comes with its fair share of concerns as the problems could only get worse, “I’ve been talking to a lot of people about this particular injury. At the end of the day I just gotta suck it up, and just deal with the pain. It’s gonna get worse the more I play. But I gotta get it out for my team. I’m here. I’m locked in, no matter what, no matter how I feel.” Well, he even went above and beyond by putting a punchline on his wrist injury, “Even if I’ve got to cut my wrist off, I’m still out there, because I love the game of football.” But when did Hill suffer his wrist injury?

Tracing back Tyreek Hill’s concerns with wrist injury

Although there wasn’t any visible footage of Hill ever suffering a wrist injury on the gridiron, it seems his problem was there from the beginning. As per ESPN’s Lisa Salters, Hill’s injury started in preseason training camp, “He said that it’s something that he’s really been dealing with all season long. He said it first started in training camp.” However, it got worse after his arrest before the season opener in Miami, “he said it got re-aggravated when he was arrested right be the opening game of the season. He said he was taken to the ground by police. That’s where the future damage was done.”

What’s your perspective on:

Can the Dolphins maintain their lead if Tyreek Hill's injury sidelines him for the second half?

Have an interesting take?

Seeing back the footage of Hill’s arrest and the way the police officers handcuffed him and pushed him into the ground. It doesn’t really surprise us to see Hill blaming that incident. But the Dolphins WR did get an MRI that showed a clear picture, “He said that the MRI has shown that he has a torn ligament.” While Hill fights through his wrist injury and a possible ankle injury after the Raiders game. The Phins would be hopeful he can stay in contention. As they look to quality for the playoffs for the second-straight season in the NFL.
