Before the week 8 matchup against the Browns, the Ravens were cruising high on confidence. And they had all the reasons to be confident. A five-win streak isn’t a simple task. At the center of it all was their MVP quarterback, Lamar Jackson. He ensured their morale didn’t drop after losing the season’s first two games.
But the fans are now bothered about their week 9 matchup against the Broncos. The team practiced today, but the signal caller was missing. Everyone is curious why he was not there. Is there any hidden injury or everything is normal?

While we are waiting for the official reason behind his absence from practice, let us explore the interesting relationship between his completion rate and the outcome of the Ravens game. In the 3 games they have lost this season, the quarterback has less than a 65% completion rate. In week 1 defeat against the Chiefs, he had 26 of 41 passes with 63.4% completion rate. When the Raiders won in week 2, Lamar Jackson only had 61.7% (21 of 34) completed passes.
In all five Ravens wins, excluding the Bengals game, the quarterback boasts an impressive completion rate above 75%. Against the Bengals, he recorded a 61% completion rate, but still impressed with 348 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Conversely, in the upset loss to the Browns, his completion rate dipped to 60.5% (23/38). This trend suggests one crucial takeaway: the MVP candidate must maintain accuracy to keep the Ravens’ playoff hopes alive.
